It was a few weeks after their wedding and at first everything was absolutely perfect. They spent their honeymoon in Thailand and they couldn't dream of a better one. Their married life was exactly what they expected even though there wasn't a big change for them. They continued with their lovey dovey relationship and everyone who saw them was jealous of them.
Especially on the week-ends they often went out to eat or watching a movie or just simply walking through the park with their hands intertwined. Even though it was a big issue in Korea that two men are together but they couldn't care less. For them it's love and they often said nobody can separate them. Their family and friends gladly accepted them so the only obstacle they have to overcome is society and time.
They promised to stay together forever but nobody knows what surprises time will have for them or which situations they will face and if they'll keep their promise.
Today was a normal day for both of them. They both had to go to work so Leo cooked a quick breakfast.
"Have a nice day" Ravi said and kissed him before he left for work.
Leo put away the dirty plates and left for work. He had to take a cab because Ravi had his car and Ravi's was in the garage for a check up.
The driver drove a bit above the allowed speed limit but Leo didn't pay much attention. He was too deep in thoughts. A few days ago he noticed that Ravi was always in thoughts and most of the time he wasn't listening to Leo. He also worked longer but he always told Leo that there was a big project and he had to do a lot of stuff for it. But 2 weeks ago Leo called him in his office but his workmates told him that he already left hours ago. When he came home Leo asked him about it but he went straight to bed without any further explanation. At first Leo believed him and didn't think about it anymore. But one day he could tell that Ravi wasn't working. He came back at 4 in the morning and he was clearly drunk. The morning after Leo took him to task for it. Ravi only told him that he should not worry and he was just out with his workmates. Leo didn't ask him more questions but he was pretty sure that this wasn't true. Maybe he was out with his workmate but it wasn't because of work. Since that day Leo always was suspicious of Ravi's actions. Leo often thought about them and how since their wedding a lot has changed. He always thought everything would be like it was before their wedding. To be honest he was scared that they'll break their promise very soon even though his feeligs are the same as before. Leo was always honest with his feelings for Ravi and for him it'll never change so he hoped that Ravi will be the same again. The one who always told him how much he loves him. The one who took care of him especially when he was sick and the one who always promised him to live in a big house together until their death. Of course he knew it won't happen. That's only possible in movies and stories but not in real life. He wished that it would last for a long time but with the current situation he got more and more anxious and every day he wakes up, he prays that he will come back to him and maybe that he will love him the same as he used to.
But day after day nothing really changed and it seemed that there was no love left even though Leo always tried to get to him and to show him his affection but Ravi always said he' s tired and he wants to rest. Their last real kiss was weeks ago and it really burdened Leo. All he wants is to get the man back he fell in love with. The one who was always happy and made jokes. But right now he's cold and doesn't let anyone get to him.
If only he would know what happened to his husband. Everything started to change after their honeymoon and he seemed like a new person. Leo often assumed that everything is his fault and he eventually started to talk with other people and when he has a day off he only spends them at home. His mother started worrying about her youngest son and she tried everything to talk to him and to make everything the way it was but without success. In the past they lives for each other and now they only live for themselves. Leo already gave up and accepted the situation with his only hope that everything can go back to normal.
He snapped out of his thoughts as he heard a mobile phone ringing. It wasn't his phone and he then saw that the taxi driver accepted the call while driving.
"Excuse me. Can you please put away your mobile phone and concentrate on driving".
He ignored him and continued.
'Please let me die' he thought.
'He'll never love me again so there's no need in living'. It was like God granted him this wish when a trucker lost control over his vehicle and ran over the taxi. The last thing Leo saw were a lot of people who witnessed the crash. One man captured his eyes. He looked just like Ravi but it couldn't be. This man had a woman and a little kid. He then saw how the man looked at him directly and then turned pale before he walked away. 'No this can't be' Leo thought and then lost his consciousness.
He only wanted to die. To end this miserable life and to finally keep his promise that he will love Ravi until his death. Even if he doesn't love me anymore, I do. Just please end it already. This was actually the first time he ever thought about it but right know it was the best option in his life. Ravi sure will hate him even more after this accident. He has to take care of him. It's exactly what they promised but will he keep his promise?
