The following days were like a nightmare, Taekwoon felt numb and as if he wouldn't be alive anymore. Everything felt surreal especially when he was sitting together with the funeral director to talk about the funeral, his friends trying his best to always be there for him. He called Angelique to tell her what happened, that he was dead now and after accusing him of lying she accepted the news, surprised that Taekwoon told her when the funeral was despite everything she had done. For the first time in her life she felt devastated, knowing that it was also her fault that he was dead now. In the beginning she only wanted to have fun and show Wonshik what he had missed after he left her but now she felt like she murdered him.
Taekwoon remembered the shocked faces of their parents when he called them, tears streaming down his own face as he explained to them what happened, not knowing how he should continue his life from now on. The funeral was the worst, everyone telling him how sorry they were as he still couldn't fully register that Wonshik wasn't with him anymore, that he would never see him again or hear him laugh.
He was completely alone now except his friends, his lover was gone now and he couldn't stay any longer in their old home. The silence was suffocating and everything reminded him of the younger, making it even harder to say goodbye to him, to the only person he ever truly loved."Taekwoon-ah are you ready?" Hakyeon asked as he finished putting all of his luggage into his car.
"I am" Taekwoon simply replied as he took one last glance at their house, ready to start anew as he had no other choice.
The decision to sell the house wasn't hard, Taekwoon just couldn't stay there any longer so he decided to live with Hakyeon and Hongbin until he found a new apartment, not needing much space anymore. As more days passed and Taekwoon was finally moving into his new apartment he felt a bit better day by day. He visited the graveyard as often as he could, spending hours there to talk to the younger, the lonely feeling subsiding whenever he entered the graveyard. He knew that he wasn't alone anymore, that Wonshik was watching over him and protecting him, his presence clearly perceptible. He never thought about falling in love again, he always thought that Wonshik was the only one for him, his soulmate so he followed his daily routine, making sure to visit him as often as he could.
It has been almost one hour when he accidentally ran into someone, shyly mumbling an apology as he picked up the flowers the other man dropped, being met with a small smile as he was told that it was alright.
"I'm sorry. I should have been more careful" Taekwoon replied, feeling nervous in front of the other man.
"Don't worry. He never really liked flowers in his lifetime but I still bought them whenever I could."
"Lilies symbolize innocence and purity. I always liked them" Taekwoon replied, looking at the broken flowers in his hand.
"They are one of the most beautiful flowes I've ever seen."
"I promise I'll buy a new bouquet."
"No need to instead we could meet up somewhere and talk a bit more. How does that sound to you?" the other man suggested and strangely Taekwoon couldn't say no to the idea, he was fascinated by the other.
"It sounds good" he replied with a soft smile, feeling like Wonshik would have wanted him to say yes.
"If you want we can go now or we can meet some other time."
"No I'm free now and I'd love to have some company."
Taekwoon replied as they started walking to the exit of the graveyard, enjoying each other's company.Taekwoon soon noticed that his admiration grew with every passing day and he could feel Wonshik's presence fade a bit every day, not in a bad way. Taekwoon knew that he could finally find his peace as he wasn't alone anymore. He fell in love again but he never once forgot about Wonshik or how much he loved him but he know was certain of that there isn't only one person who can touch your heart. Wonshik was his soulmate but they weren't destined to be together, now he felt like he found true love. Everything felt so easy now, it wasn't complicated anymore and Taekwoon felt happy simply by being alive. The things that happend in the past where important but he was ready to start new, to start a new chapter in his life with someone who showed him how easy and beautiful life could be. Wonshik was his past whereas Junsu was his present and future.
It's done. This story was on hold for such a long time and it deserved to be finished. I don't even know if someone is still reading this. If you do then I'm sorry for letting you wait and for such an ending but life is like that. There isn't always a happy end and accidents happen. I've been through a phase in my life lately that showed me this and it also taught me to enjoy the smallest things in the world. Once again thank you for everyone who has been supporting me and who read this story, I'm very grateful to all of you.
