"Are you OK?" was the first thing Mark asked me, holding his arms out for a hug. "No... not really" I told him in a small voice.
He walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me.
Daisy and Dylan arrived at the scene "Hey Jen, are you alright?" Daisy asked me, concerned. Mark let go of me as Daisy reached out to me for a hug. "Shhh, it's everything is going to be ok" she whispered reassuringly in my ear.
I let my tears flow freely as I thought of the days when Lilly and I used to be great friends. The times we would tease each other, all our inside jokes. I looked back on all the memories that we had, all the laughter, all the confessions, all the secrets.
Never would I have thought that Lilly would be the one to stab me in the back. Not even for a second did I think that she would be as mean as she was until she actually treated me like sh*t
I didn't cry because of what happened, I cried because we could have been friends forever. I know, it's been years since the thing happened, but I only had time to dwell on it now.
I cried into Daisy's shoulder merely because I missed my friend. The Lilly I knew, the Lilly that I could trust was now gone and replaced by some wannabe Mean Girl.
Life had it's ups and downs, but it moves on with or without us. We can move with it or get left behind.
After what felt like an eternity, I lifted my head and wiped away my tears. "Feel better now?" Daisy asked me quietly. I nodded shakily, the room a blur through my tears. "Wh-where's Ysa?"
"She... went to Lilly and had a talk with her" Mark told me hesitantly, as if he was afraid I would blow up at any moment.
I shut my eyes, feeling exhausted. Before I knew it I had fallen asleep, darkness consuming me.
----------------------------------------
I woke up and stared up at my ceiling. Wait, my ceiling doesn't have stars on it. I sat up and scanned my surroundings. The walls were blue and were covered with posters of what I assumed were video games.Clothes, guy clothes to be more specific, were scattered on the floor.
I noticed that the bed I was sleeping on was in the shape of a car. Cautiously, I lifted the blanket and stood up on the ground. Before I could walk towards the door, I heard footsteps as if they were walking up stairs.
As fast as I could I scrambled back to the bed and hid under the covers.
The door creaked open and someone entered the room. I peeked out from under the blanket and saw that it was Dylan.
He was watching me with a thoughtful expression on his face. "What am I doing here?" I blurted out. By the surprised expression on his face I could only conclude that he didn't notice me looking at him.
"When you fell asleep we didn't want to wake you up, we knew that you had been stressing out and you looked so at peace so we decided not to wake you up" He explained. "But why in your house? Why not just bring me to mine?" I pressed. At this he blushed and sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck "I didn't think of that..."
I snorted, boys.
There was tension in the room as an awkward silence settled between us.
"So... Uhmmm, thanks for everything or whatever... I'll just be going now" with that I stood up and walked over to the door, Dylan blocked my way.I glared at him and gestured for him to move aside, instead he shook his head and stood as still as a rock.
"Jennifer we need to talk"
