"Wh-what did you say?" I said stuttering, he couldn't be serious.
"What did you hear?" He said with a little smile playing on his lips.
"You're joking right?." He had to be.
He didn't answer, he just raised his eyebrow to show he wasn't. But I wanted words, not eyebrows.
"Right?!" I said again.
He then tilted his head backwards and laughed while folding his arms. Why did I finding his laughter so good to listen to?
"Of course I was joking. I just wanted to see your reaction, which was hilarious by the way. Don't get me wrong, there's no guy out there in his right senses who wouldn't want to go out with you, me included. But if I'm going to ask you on a date, I'll do it how I want to and when I want to..."
"Hold up, so you're saying you're going to ask me to go on a date with you?." I asked immediately cutting him off. While placing my hands on my hips, tapping my foot and looking up to him waiting for my answer.
"Calm down woman, you need to stop cutting me off. I'm not saying I'm going to ask you on a date neither I'm I saying I won't." When I scrunched my eyebrows and shook my head showing I didn't understand he's point even though I actually did. He just chuckled
"What's so damn funny?." I asked him giving him the you better be careful what you say look.
He smiled and said,
"Last time I checked, you're a fine ass woman." He stopped to check me out in the most obvious way possible.
He had guts, I'll give him that.
"Are you checking me out?." I asked clearly annoyed.
"Right to sightseeing Reina, I've got the right. Not like you haven't been checking me out either." He said smirking again.
"Right to sightseeing? Does that even exist? And no fucking freaking way, I haven't been checking you out."
"Oh really?." He said raising an eyebrow, he's voice suddenly became low as he moved closer.
"Yes really." I said looking at everything else apart from him. Something I did when I felt nervous.
Why did I feel nervous all of a sudden?.
I suddenly felt him very close to me. He lifted my chin, so I could meet his eyes.
"Are you really sure?." He murmured so quietly I was surprised I even heard him. He's eyes coming in contact with mine was something I shouldn't let happen again. I was lost yet again, for the second time today. I just stared, his eyes made me forget everything. Made forget that they were people out there who wanted me dead, made me forget I had responsibilities waiting for me inside the restaurant, made me forget that I shouldn't even be forgetting at all, made me forget the question he asked me about being sure.
"Su-sure of what?." I asked stammering suddenly confused, but my eyes never left his.
A cool breeze swiftly encircled us, and some locks of my blonde hair fell out of my bun. His left hand didn't leave my chin, he used his right hand to tuck the locks of hair that fell out of my bun before saying in a completely normal voice,
"Are you really sure you haven't been checking me out?." He said taking his hands away from my chin and stepping back with a little smile playing on his lips.
