"Yes we have a reservation under Mr Matthews." he replied.

The man in the crisp white shirt, plain black trousers and red bowtie nodded and started checking an iPad probably to check our table.

ipad eh? Definitely nothing like Sarah's Delight.

"Because my boyfriend isn't a control obsessed person doesn't make him an idiot."

Can you just shut up about this boyfriend thing already?

"And you think I am?" I nodded my head in affirmation. "Does this boyfriend know that you're here right now? With me?"

"Yes but-"

"Oh, he's not an idiot alright."

"See? Of course he isn't-"

"He's a fool, not an idiot."

My mouth hanged open.

"You need to-"

"Um, Mr Matthews, I'm sorry but I can't find your name tagged to any of our tables. Are you sure you called in to make a reservation?"

Would you look at that.. No table.
Great.

"I did. Two days ago. Check your system and be quick about it, please." he said confidently. The man in uniform gave a nod and told us to hold on for a minute while he goes inside to check.

"Advantages of Sarah's Delight. We'll just let you in anyways." I said dryly, pulling my hand away from his but he didn't let me. Instead he held me tighter and closer to him.

"You would have preferred I take you there?"

"Not on your life." I retorted.

He laughed and I loved it, I loved that I can make him laugh and I shouldn't.

"I didn't think so."

"Are you sure you made a reservation though?"

"I am sure." was all he said when the man in uniform which I assume to be the receptionist came back with a small but nervous smile

"On behalf of The Classics, I am so sorry for the delay and whatever inconveniences that we may have caused."

He bent and whispered in my ear, "I told you I made a reservation, you're probably used to your boyfriend fucking up."

I wanted to speak but the receptionist decided at that exact time to continue with whatever it is he was saying.

"I have found your reservation, your table is the one on the terrace. I would lead you there, shall we go Mr and Mrs Matthews?"

Wait.. What?

Mrs who?.. When did I get married?

"Sure" Spence gave a nod and let the man in uniform lead the way like he didn't just here him.

"I'm not-"

"Common, don't be rude. Lets go." he tugged my arm, moving me forward.

Can he stop interrupting me? This is getting really annoying.

"Rude? He just called me Mrs Matthews and you made no attempt to correct him. We aren't married and I'm sure if I married you, I will definitely remember."

"You will, wouldn't you?." he said ignoring the major point of what I just said.

"Acting like-" My words got caught in my throat as I took in the sight in front of me, I knew that Sarah's Delight had a long way to go before reaching up to the standards of The Classics. Not only was it bigger, it was perfect and the people who were eating there all smelled rich. Men in Armani suits and women in Louboutin heels, I'm sure. The soft music playing in the background plus the excess chandeliers hanging from the ceiling made it all too unreal. The few women who took their time to look at me, held their nose in the air probably because of my cheap dress but they wouldn't stop looking at Spence though. Who could blame them?
