It came to me like something out of a movie. I mean, it's not everyday coffee gets poured on you, a hot one for  matter. My eyes stayed shut as my body tried to access what had just happened. The burning sensation that followed was no better and I was certain that it was going to leave a bruise or worse, I was lost for words. The surprised gasped that followed from several people which I was sure were the customers, prompted me to open my eyes. I tried to use my hand to cleanse some of the liquid from my face but I couldn't even lift it, it hurt so much. I still opened my eyes and before I could understand what was going on, the liquid flowed into my eyes and it was going to leave an irritation. I was no doctor, but I was sure.

Damn! I couldn't see and all I wanted to do at that moment was to see.

"How dare you wretched being accuse me of such? Do you know who I am? Do you have the slightest idea? I could buy you and your entire generation put together, that's for sure."

I wanted to speak but I couldn't. My mouth felt heavy and painful, I couldn't move.

"Holy Jesus! Are you okay Reina?! What did he do to you?" It was Becky's voice, she was freaking out obviously.

Ignoring the pain, I tried to speak.

"I-I-I'm in so much pain." My voice didn't even sound like mine.

"What are you standing there for? I didn't pay y'all to be statues or mannequins. Do your job, don't be stupid!" I heard footsteps hurrying towards where I stood, I guess it was the security guards she was referring to. I could here sounds of struggling, I felt Becky's hand on mine as she lead me to a seat.

"Let me go! let go off me you idiots. I will deal with you. Let me go!" That had to be the man, I could hear the struggle in his voice. They were probably moving him out of the restaurant.

"Reina, sweetie. Try to talk to me, how do you feel? Are you okay? God, I'm calling the cops."

I froze, she couldn't involve the cops. They would find out who I am. I shook my head vigorously in disagreement.

"I shouldn't call them? Okay I won't but we gotta treat you or something. I'm sure you don't want to go to the hospital either but your skin is getting reddish by the minute. We gotta do something!" She was panicking. She actually cared and despite the pain, it made me smile. She actually cared.

"I know what to do." A male voice rang in my ears and I knew that voice more than anything these days, it was Spence. Coming for coffee every morning had become his thing, I guess he came for coffee and met this glorious sight instead.

"Well speak already, her skin is getting worse!" Becky half yelled earning a chuckle from me, she was still freaking out.

"Do you have anything like a tub or shower in here?"

"Yes, yes we do! We have something like a mini shower for the workers." She said quickly.

"Great, place her underneath it without any form of clothing. I'll go get her a cream that she'll apply on her body. Hurry up, for every second wasted, her skin will get worse." He said and I could hear his steps retreating.

"Alright Reina, lets go try out this stranger's suggestion. It could work." I painfully forced out a smile as I let her lead me to the bathroom. I could hear Stacy apologizing to the customers for the scene, urging them not leave and telling them that fifty percent of there bill is on the restaurant.

We made it to the bathroom and Becky helped me out of my clothes. It wasn't exactly easy because aside myself, nobody not even Elisa had seen me naked and here I was letting someone who was just a manager to me do that. But, I didn't really have a choice.
