On her way back to her apartment room located on one of the upper floors, the brunette shuffled along without any particular emotion. She found her room at the very corner and entered it after unlocking the lock. The moment she was inside, she inhaled a deep breath and exhaled. Her eyes fixed on a framed photo on her little desk cluttered with notebooks and writing utensils. It was of a smiling child, reddish swirly hair and green flecked chocolate eyes. In their arms was a single cat.

"Wes..." She sighed, her emotions finally catching up to her. "Where did you go?" On closer inspection, an ancient rocking chair was faintly visible in the background.
