Hours later, the dreaded knock at the door came. The girl grabbed her belongings and went to answer it. Gorse stopped her by grabbing her wrist.

"I, uh, I can't walk out there. You need to carry me."

"Why?"

"Just trust me." With a sigh, the girl lifted the bear and struggled to keep a hold of him.
