"She's not changing back," Deaton says getting on the floor holding Tracy's hand and observing her claws, "We're going to need to get her out of here."
"What, hey Absolutely not," my grandfather demands, "This is a crime scene. We call the coroner."
" think the coroner might be very confused by this girl's severed reptilian tail." Deaton implies truthfully.
" I don't care" Stiles' fathers says carelessly.
"You should," Deaton ensures, "Unless you're prepared to hold a press conference announcing the presence of supernatural creatures in Beacon Hills."
"Dad, he's right," Stiles admits. My grandfather looks annoyed and betrayed.
"Maybe at the clinic, we can figure out how to change her back, then call the coroner?" Scott suggests.
"There's a line There is a line that we have to draw." the sheriff pleads as he gestures to Tracy's dead body on the floor.
"Dad, you've already crossed it," Stiles adds, "More than once."
"Sheriff, please. Let me help." Deaton asks, "I've dealt with things like this before."
Finally, the sheriff accepts his offer and says, "Just do it fast."
Scott rolls up his sleeves to pick up Tracy in his arms, twitching his, he then carries her out of the basement with the help of Deaton.
We get to the hospital and Ava and I catch up to Scott who is talking to Liam about some information he may have found. Scott asks intentively, "Tracy was buried?"
Liam lists, "In a hole. Buried alive. Crawled out. Then we found another hole.
Ava adds in, "Who was buried in that one?"
Liam looks back at her concerned, " I don't know, but I think we're gonna want to find out."
We walk down the hallway and enter the elevator going up a floor, we exit till we get to a waiting room where we find Kira, Stiles, Theo, and Malia who sits on a chair with her hands trembling.
"Stiles." I hear Melissa calling as she enters the room.
"How bad is it?" Stiles says worriedly for an unwanted answer.
"Could have been worse, " she implies and then gesture to Theo, "Theo, nice going on that tourniquet. You probably saved her life." There's a silence as Melissa notice Stiles and I exchange disgusted looks to Theo.
Suddenly Melissa breaks the awkward silence, "All right," she utters with her words, "She's about to go into surgery. So it's going to be a while. Any other supernatural details that I need to know about or do we just stitch her up and hope for the best?"
"It was the tail," Kira adds hoping that her words would be of any help.
"Yeah, Tracy cut her with the tail, if that makes a difference." Scott supports.
"Okay," Melissa mumbles showing no signs of hope and then starts for the surgery room.
Malia stands up and adds to the conversation, "But it wasn't just Tracy." she looks to the other for support but no one shows any, "There were the others." she looks to Stiles, "The guys in the masks."
We all eventually leave the hospital going our separate ways but Ava and I stick Deaton hoping to help him out in any way we can. It grows dark and we figure out that Tracy had the claws of a were wolf and the skin and venom of a kanima. Once we had confirmed our observations and tests, we head to Scott's house to inform him of our current knowledge.
When we enter his house and start for the kitchen, we see Scott and Kira embarrassing each other with a long. This reminds me of Drake and me, realizing I miss him more than and ever. When Scott and Kira finally notice us, Deaton speaks up, "Sorry to interrupt." Ava giggles a little but I punch her in the gut, she can heal, I tell myself. "A werewolf with the talons of an eagle." Deaton says as her pulls out the jars of the things we've collected or figured out, "Possibly a shape-shifter, known in eastern mythology as a Garuda."
Then I speak up, "Tracy's claws." I pause to see their full attention on me, "The unmistakable claws of a werewolf But A werewolf who also bears the venom and the scales of a Kanima." I say showing every a jar of her venom and scales.
"What do you even call that?" Kira says as she examines the werewolf claws.
"Personally, I call it terrifying," Deaton adds, "But at the moment, I'm more interested in how Tracy was able to get across the mountain ash."
"I thought nothing supernatural can do that." Kira implies.
"As did I. So if Tracy was able to cross the mountain ash and no one supernatural can do that..." Deaton says waiting for someone to finish his sentence.
"Tracy's not a supernatural," Scott says figuring it out.
"Exactly. If she wasn't born and she wasn't bitten, she had to have been made." Deaton hates to admit.
"Made?" Kira says worriedly.
"Someone is trying to make supernatural creatures with non-supernatural means," I add
"And whoever they are, they're somehow managing to blur the lines between science and the supernatural," Deaton says scared for the future.
"But there's more." Scott connected, "Liam said he found another hole out in the woods."
"Burying them could be part of their process, a kind of incubation." I say intentively.
"What are we supposed to do?" Ava wonders seriously.
Same thing we've always done." Deaton says looking at her, "Protect your friends. Protect each other."
"So, what about someone like Tracy?" Scott asks.
"I wish I could tell you." Deaton admits, "Hopefully, I'll have more answers soon. I'll be gone a few days."
"Your leaving?" Scott says scaresly that makes a chill run done my spine.
"Just a few days."
"How scared should we be?" Ava wonders.
"I've lived in the world of the supernatural a long time." Deaton connects, "But I'm still a doctor. Still a man of science." He begins to list his words, "Something like this happens, it rattles the foundation of everything you believe. Something like this shakes you to the core"
"Something like what?" I wonder.
"The rules," he implies starting to pack away all of the substances in the jars, "The rules have changed."
