Chapter 16

Marinette woke up with a sleepy yawn and stretched her arms. There was a knock on her trapdoor and Sabine came through with a big smile. "Marinette. Someone's here to see you." Marinette raised a brow while her heart started to flutter. It was only a day.  Could he already be done?  He was fast as Chat but not that fast.

She got out of bed and pulled her hair into a side ponytail And brushed her teeth. She slide on a purple sweater that draped over one shoulder, blue jeans and black boots. She walked down the stairs but was careful not to jump to conclusions. "So how long have you known Marinette?"

"I've only heard about her sir but every story was amazing and I just had to meet her." She smiled at Tom. "Adriens said all nice things so I just had to meet her." Marinette raised a brow.

"Marinette dear." Sabine called. "Your breakfast is ready." Marinette sat at the island and ate her breakfast while glaring at the girl standing in the doorway. Her brown to blonde hair and grey eyes unsettled her. Marinette brushed her teeth then walked to the door.

"Hi Marinette I'm Riley." She smiled at her. Riley wore fake black rumpled glasses, a grey beanie, a yellow tank top, blue jean shorts and black tennis shoes. "Mind if we go for a walk?"

"Uh sure." Marinette smiled and they left the bakery and walked down the street. Marinette looked everywhere but Riley.

"Adriens told me a lot about you."  Marinette looked at her. "He really loves you and I can see why. You're beautiful and with a child, god she's gotta be gorgeous when she comes out."

"How do you know it's going to be a girl?" Marinette raised a brow.

"I don't. But for now I'm going to use girl pronouns so I don't call her it. When she's born I'll change it if she's a boy."  Riley smiled at her. "Adrien, he's working with my brother Max right now in Italy and he said Adrien won't stop talking about you."

"R-really?"  Riley nodded and gave her her phone and scrolled through the messages they sent each other. "I didn't know he cared this much about me."

"No duh. Every second we had to do the fake dating thing was total agony for him."

"Gabriel said that when he gets back that you'll have to get married. Is that true?" Marinette looked at Riley.

"Yeah but I doubt he'll do it. We even went ring shopping as one of our 'dates' and he asked for a ring that was a little to small for me so it was obvious it was for someone else." Riley laughed at the end.

Marinette pursed her lips. "I know we just met but do you think I should abort my child?" Riley blinked then noticed that she was pregnant.

"Okay first I just noticed so congrats, second I can't really voice an opinion and third it's your body, your choice but I would talk it over with Adrien first."

"It's just all of my friends are arguing about it and I don't know what to choose."

"Do what makes you happy and health.  If you don't want the baby then don't have it just tell Adrien that you don't want it right now. I'm sure he'll understand you just need to tell him." Riley smiled at her. "But if it were me, I would abort it. Think of your future before a child ya know."

"Yeah it's just that half of my friends are saying I should abort while the other half are saying I shouldn't."

"If the world wants you to have a baby then you'll have one. My mama told me that the universe pushes us down the pathes of life. If the universe wanted me to do something then it would push me to do it and if it didn't it would push me away from it. Sooner or later the universe will either push you to have the baby or not."

"Maybe." Marinette sighed then smiled. "Thanks."

"No problem." Riley smiled then her phone buzzed.  "Gotta go. I'm filming a new Tv show and they need me on set. Later."

"Bye." Marinette smiled at her and they walked away from each other. Chloe and Lila on the other hand, were not pleased with the sight in front of them.
