Chapter 24

(I know. Way to long of a time skip. Marinette is in her 5th month)

Adrien rested his hands on his hips and glared at Marinette as she glared back with her arms crossed. "I told you. No more Ladybug-ing until you give birth to the baby!"

"But I'm fine! The babies fine!"

"What if Sting Bee hit you! The baby wouldn't be fine then!" Adrien pointed out from an akuma attack early that day. Hawkmoth has started up again.

"That's why I have you! To protect me and the baby!"

"But what if I wasn't there in time?" Adrien asked, putting his voice back at its normal volume. "I would've lost you both." He hugged her.

"I know but it's just." Marinette sighed and hugged Adrien back. "It's just I want to show Paris I can still save and protect them, even like this."

"And you will be showing them, if you just stay here and let me handle it." Adrien hugged her tightly then let go and looked at the clock on the wall. "I have to go patrol. Stay here and stay safe." He kissed the top of her head and transformed. he swung off of the balcony and into the cold night.

She giggled at him and yawned as Tikki flew to her from the bedroom after taking a well deserved nap. "He's right you know. You should stop until you give birth so you won't hurt the baby."

"Okay Tikki." Marinette yawned again. "I'm going to bed."

"Okay." Marinette smiled at the small Kwami and walked into the bedroom. She changed into her pajamas and got into bed. Tikki lied down next to her head and they both soon drifted off to sleep.

At midnight Chat came back to the apartment and smiled to himself at the thought of having a son or daughter. He walked into the apartment and detransformed. Plagg flew into the kitchen and Adrien walked into the bathroom and took a shower while Plagg passed out in the fridge. He got out of the shower and changed into some sleep wear. 

He crawled into bed and yawned. "Night Mari."  He looked to his side but didn't see anything. "Mari?" No answer. Adrien sat up and turned on the lights by his bedside. "Marinette?" He started to panic as he scrambled to his feet and ran through the apartment. Maybe she fell asleep somewhere else? Yeah that's it. He ran through the apartment as fast as he could until he found a note next to her earrings.

Hello Mr.Adrien Agreste,

I have your pregnant girlfriend Marinette, and I have to say, shame on you.
Getting a girl pregnant and leaving her your girlfriend.
What moron gets a girl pregnant before marriage.
You're a special kind of idiot to do that to her, especially since she doesn't even want the baby.
But her being way to kind is keeping it for you.

You don't deserve her, I do. So that's why I took what rightfully belongs to me.
You'll never get her back. She's mine now, and don't worry about your baby.
You'll never have to worry about the baby again after what I do.

Take the earrings as a little present from me. The only thing that'll remind you of her.

Adriens heart jumped out of his chest, trying to escape the anger from boiling inside him. His heart beat faster as he fell to the floor and yelled out in anger before running to his phone and calling the police.
