1.9: Time's Up

"Nae sarang,"
"Hmm?"
"Gomawo."
"No need for that. It's nothing. I think this is good too. I feel a little sleepy now."
"No. I'm not thanking you for letting me sleep here. I'm thanking you for letting me be you boyfriend." He said tightening his grip on your hand.
"Ah. You know you don't have to thank me for that. I should be the one thanking you."
"Ani. I should be the one. I'm too lucky to have you. I never thought, because of those few seconds in that fitting room, I would find someone I want to be with forever."
"Omo, nae pabo. You're making me cringe already. Stop it."
"Wae? I'm just saying the truth. Do you know, when that Youngsoo came and said those things in the bookstore, I thought it's true. I felt so helpless and broken, but then, you said it's not true. I felt my heart fly. It's just a great feeling, knowing I have greater chance on you."

You stared at the ceiling as he continued to talk. It's nice. hearing him say these things to you. You two just lying down on his bed. Just holding hands. Nothing more, nothing less. It feels good. The smell of him makes you sleepy.

"That was the time I knew I like you. But, I really thought it's not real because we both know it's not like we had seen each other so many times that time. Wonwoo even told me it can't be real because love at first sight isn't real. But you see, here I am now holding your hand."
You closed your eyes still listening to him.
"That's why I'm resigning." He said making you open your eyes again.
"Mwo?!"
"I'm resigning." You immediately sat up.
"As a part of Seventeen?!" You asked him and he sat up too.
"No. As your boyfriend." He said looking down.

You feel the sadness in his words. You feel your tears flowing down your cheeks. Is this really happening?

"Seungcheol,"
"It's time you wake up from this beautiful dream, Y/N-ah. I hope you won't forget me when you wake up. Or at least, please don't forget the feeling."
"But nae sarang,"
"I love you. Goodbye."
