I wake up Monday morning right on time, and ready for classes. It's been two days since breakfast with Matty and oddly I miss his presence. His complex, always changing, emotional presence.

After finishing my regular morning routine, I grab my bag and head out the door. I walk quickly to the only Starbucks on campus, and grab my usual order. My feet are quick in taking me to my first class as I sip happily. I take my usual seat and the professer shows just moments later.

"Alright class, I hope you drank enough coffee this morning, because today's lesson sure is a good one..." he begins to teach.

My second class of the day comes to an end and I find my bag full of freshly written notes. Today has definitely been a productive day so far.

I make my way to my final class, music history. I just can't wait to see Mia and catch up with her about the party. I wonder where she went, how long did she stay, did she ever look for me? I walk through the doors and sure enough an always punctual Mia is seated in the very first row. Her attention seems deeply burried into her unorganized bag. My feet take me directly beside her. Before I have the chance to be seated, a deep voice calls my attention.

"Sit up here?" He asks softly.

I look up to identify the voice. Not to my surprise a familiar face fills my sight. Matty. He looks at me with raised eyebrows, causing a series of wrinkles across his forehead. His eyes search my face as mine do the same for his. His face quickly twists into a picture of confusion as I soon realize I've been staring.

I nod and slide through the chairs to reach the second row. He removes his bag from the unoccupied chair beside him and I sit soon after. His eyes meet mine and he smiles a small smile before turning back to the front of the room. My stomach flutters.

I reach a hand out and tap Mia lightly in front of me. She turns around and a confused expression lays upon her face.

"Maggie? What are you doing up there? When did you get here? I didn't even see you" she bombards me with questions.

"Yea, um, I'm going to sit up here today. I just wanted you to know im here, I didn't get kidnapped friday.." I chuckle and awkward laughter.

"I wondered where you went! I wanted to text you but I realized I don't have your number."

"I can give it to you now if you want" I offer.

"Yea yea lemme grab my phone..." she trails off, rummaging through her bag again.  "Okay, go"

I recite my phone number aloud slowly, and she types it in.

"Thanks girl-" she says but is soon cut off by the  professer as he begins to teach.

The class goes by quickly with Matty and I sharing the occasional glances. Once we are finally dismissed, I pack up my things and stand to leave. Matty soon stops me.

"Hey, uh, are you doing anything later today?" He asks quietly.

"No I don't think" I practically ask myself. I dont think I had any set plans, although I did want to talk to Mia later.

"Okay well there's this concert type thing and I wanted to ask you to go.." he says with the familiar wrinkles across his forehead.

"Okay" I accept that whilst trying to fight the smile away from my lips.

"Okay" he breathes. "I guess I'll pick you up, um, how's 6:30? It doesn't start until 8:00 so we can maybe eat before?"

"Sounds great." I laugh a little at his semi-nervous behavior. "See you then." I add and he smiles a small smile before turning on his heels and walks towards the door.

It isn't until then I realize the classroom is now empty. All except for an occupied professor at his desk and one smirking Mia staring with a knowing look across her face.

"What?" I question, feeling my cheeks heat up.

"Something happened between you two over the weekend, hm? How did you two get from not even knowing his name to going on a date in a weekend?!" She interrogates me a bit too loudly.

The professor's attention is now on us, with a stern look on his face.

"Sorry sir" I mutter quietly. My hand grabs Mia's and I pull her towards the exit. We make it out within seconds and I let her go. We continue walking in silence before she interrupts.

"So..." she pushes.

"Nothing happened Mia. I couldn't find you, he took me home..." I stop. "Well.. he tried to take me home but he hit his head, so I had to drive. Then he stayed the night because he couldn't drive. I helped him and cleaned his cut, and his hair was really soft, and his eyes were really pretty...and his lips were perfect when he kissed me..." I practically whisper to myself.

"He kissed you?!?" Mia nearly screams, her eyebrows raised in shock.

I don't answer her.

"Oh my god Maggie! You go girl. He is so cute, do you like him? Did anything else happen?" She questions with a grin plastered on her face.

"We went to IHop Saturday morning and talked kinda. He held my hand on the way out..." I smile to myself before continuing, "I don't know what it is about him... I can't describe how I feel. But I don't know."

"From what I'm hearing you like him. And he seems to like you, considering you're going on a date" she chimes.

Crap. She's right. Maybe he does like me.

Who am I kidding, there's no way.

Well...

Maybe.

Why else would he kiss me? I don't see why he would hold my hand if he didn't like me. And the date...

"Hey can you help me get ready?" I ask Mia.

"Of course" she smiles at me.

With that, we head towards my dorm room, making small talk about today's lesson and the grumpy proffessor.
