The Intruder

Saki's POV

"Just say No Priya, I dont think you can make it to office by 12, am somehow not comfortable you going there all alone, why dont you talk to your Dad again"

I was replaying Arun's warning phone call from morning. Arun is my best friend, its been 11 years, I still remember the first time I met him in my high school when he got transferred, since then we were thick friends...He is such a caring & compassionate person! hmmm...I should have listened to him, anyways its too late!

The driver is pulling the car on the roadside and here come another guy, Neatly combed hair,clean shaved face with sharp eyes and he dressed formally in Blue stripes shirt, am sure he is in software -  I started observing him as he sat diagonal to me next to driver seat.

"Hey, where are you guys heading to?" he turned around with a smile.

"Tech centre. How about you?" I answered immediately

"Me too" and he glanced at Mr.Jerk for the answer..as expected he smirked and didn't respond. How rude! Oh am so relieved that I dont need to put up with this rude jerk all alone!

Arjun POV:

Glad! I am loosened up a bit after looking at the speedometer, he is driving the car at its full speed in the highway and the road appears clear, we are at the western end of boulevard and it will take another 30 miles to reach Tarawar junction which intersects the town from north to south. Tarawar Junction is the hub for all sort of Business - IT, Hotel and Manufacturing industries.

Hope, she is also heading to one of the tech center there....I don't know why I lost my cool back then...Should I just say sorry???, if I apologies will she be able to look at me comfortably and give a smile??? Hmm...well, I am not desperate to see that smile, its just that I dont want any bad-vibes TODAY. I was deeply contemplating... Suddenly, the acceleration of Car went off the speed.

Crap! there is one more guy getting on!!! GOD, you tested me enough for today, am really tired, can you put a stop to all these!!!

Well, he appeared neat and cool. He looked at her with his malevolence and a flirtatious smile.

Oh great!, he is into her, he turned around and his gaze...his look...I know this kind of look...trying to eat the person alive....DISGUSTING!!!

"Hey, where are you guys heading to?" he asked with his pupils widely dilated..

"Tech centre. How about you?" Her voice brightened and showed utter excitement. WOW, she is not giving him the cold treatment! He must be happy...I felt a moment of envious...

"Me too!" - He grinned and glanced at me while my eyes bored into him!

"huh, Are you guys together?" - he asked with his raised brows hesitantly

"NO. nO...not at all, why do you ask so?" - she answered instantly leaning towards him and her facial expressions reflect a sense of attraction.

NO....how how..dare she...there are girls who would be dying to travel with me and here she is saying NO...if not my fate, there is nothing I could blame!!!

I averted my eyes as I took my phone and started playing with it...wanting to remain oblivious to their conversation..

"Oh, Simply! Nice weather isn't? He said..

"Yup, I think so"

" I generally go by my bike...this is my first time in shared taxi.."

" same here and am glad I met you!"

"Ha ha...You are stealing my thoughts! huh...i could not refrain myself, Let me just say this... Pl don't mistake me...your eyes - its stunning, they look bright and pretty" - I lifted my head up with eyes wide open at his declaration! While he ruffles his hair with smile all over his face..

"Oh thank you!" her full lips parted as she smiled and that tiny dimple appeared at the corner of her mouth. I felt a burning sensation in my throat and heaviness pushed my chest..

"Has anyone told you that you have the best smile, am sure you must have heard that a lot, its cute" - he is clearly hitting on her and am loosing my ground...My veins tighten up and I clenched my fist ready to smack him at any moment now

"yea..i hear that a lot" she giggled.,now she is taking my breath away without even knowing it ...

Damnit! I don't think I can take this any longer..am frustrated!

He continued with his courtship."Lovely! Lovely smile...am sure I can go to end of the world for this smile..."

"And I wish you stay there forever..." I cut him off bluntly with a stone face and raised my voice even louder..."Does this drama going to have an intermission soon?" I looked at them furiously back and forth!

He was trying to say something but She hand signalled to hold back and glared at me....

I turn to her and asked.."Are you always like this? Or are you making special effort today ?

"Geez! what is your problem?  "She asked me with irritated voice

"If I tell you what it is..would you care to listen?" I moved bit closer to her as I earnestly asked...my face clearly few inches away from her...peering into her eyes

"Shh..."she sighed and flashed a tight-lipped smirk...and moved her gaze away avoiding mine...I felt a burn in my throat...

It's unfair...how could she treat me like a shit...I was raging with anger as I leaned towards her closing the remaining distance between us...I Whispered "why don't you use glue stick instead of lipstick "

I could hear her thumping heart...her lips... the one that made me feel so small...parted a bit signalling me to step in...am so desperate to punish that... she looked puzzled and her brows knitted together, her eyes staring at me...Fluttered, BAM..she slammed her back to the car door to avoid my invasion...oops that must have hurt her badly...the pain in her eyes...its killing me!

"Ugh...W...hat the H..ELL" she stuttered, her voice shaking up a bit.

"Are you alright? What's his deal? Do you wanted to get down?" He questioned her with concern staring at me...she shook her head with eyes closed..

Stricken! I was taken a back on the way I just behaved.... Straighten up not knowing what do next..my phone rang!

"Mom, I will be there on time" I disconnected the call quickly...

Saki POV:

I stuttered.."What the HELL" ...my heart is still fluttering and my hands shaking....and my back aching..How can he treat me like dirt...What a cold blooded Brute...I am flabbergasted!

He is speaking to his mom, I really wanted to grab that phone and let her know what a ruthless man she raised...

I couldn't bring myself to say anything as his sharp words lingering in my mind...I closed my eyes tight not wanting to say more...I wanted to erase everything...

There was a moment of silence.

"Listen...huh..I never intended to..."his tone now sounding remorseful...

"don't explain! I don't care about what you gonna say....but just don't talk to me" I said in a scoffing tone with my eyes still closed.

"Miss Dimple...you should have stayed like this then...thats the problem" his arrogance came back live..

"STOP telling people your problem...and get off your high horse and listen...I shouted clearly looking at him fiercely..."I wish you know how ridiculous and cruel you are, you are such an Ass..." I stopped midway...his deadpan look startled me..

he has really brought me down to his level and I HATE it...I HATE HIM!!
