Arjun POV

"You have gone insane. Is that the best you could do Arjun?, I am completely disappointed in you", My dad shouted furiously

"Dad.."

"Shut the F*&k up, why the hell have you congratulate him??? Do you really need to admit your defeat to him? of all the people, to Hebris??? You have proved yourself non worthy of this position"he said clenching his jaw

"Dad, its just a failure and not final defeat. Don't you trust me? let me please explain first"

"Arjun, let me be clear on one thing, am here talking to you as Chairman of D&M corporation and not as your Dad, am goddamn responsible for all my employees and the stakeholders"

"Fine Mr. Chandrasekhar, If I remember correctly, our next board meeting is 3 days away and I can update all the board members on the deal then and now if you may please, give my space back to work", I said in a flat voice.

"Enjoy your 3 days as CEO and you are out after that", he stomped out of the room.

"huff, what did I do to invite such a treatment from him. He has gone insane not me", I let out my thoughts and sat on the couch.

I know, more than the deal, Dad was upset over the fact that I congratulated the Hebris Managing Director. I met him after my encounter with Dimple...when I came up to the lobby, he was striding out with his team grinning widely...well...what could I have done there, Did Dad expect me to beat him up or what? how can I, the CEO do that, of course I need to remain cool headed. Well, I would have beaten him up had it been the case if I have not seen Dimple...I was just not right in my head that time, but what I have done was right. I was lost deep in the thoughts till I see Alex puzzled look.

"Alex, we have lot of things to do...right now..as in right away...got it"

"Sure Boss", he nodded vigorously.

"Put the PI online, the senior guy",I stood up moving towards my chair.

"Personal investigator, you mean James?", he shrugged and continued "we have all the data on the project deal Boss and its Sandy who worked. Do you still wanted to connect James?"

"Yes, call James. I want him to be here in another 15 mins" I reiterated wondering how many times I should repeat.

The PI group is part of our security office and James is the executive director and senior most to entrust with private & confidential information. Alex got James on time and after the general greetings.

"James, this assignment is very important and I want you to personally work on this. Firstly, this is highly confidential only you, me and Alex should be aware, secondly I need the full report in 2 days max, clear?" I said enthroning myself at my desk

"Sure, let's get on to the details", he said with a serious face

"James, the details are here in the file and boss can go over the specific" Alex handed out the file to James and looked at me proudly

"Alex, what the f*^# are you doing? I have told you many times not to overdo things" I exploded out of the chair and continued "Listen James, I want you to investigate about a girl and as I said it's highly confidential"

"Girl?" both asked unanimously slack-jawed.

" yes, her name is Priyasaki Anand, she works in Rexon technologies in Ravn Mall. I need to know about her background, family and friends..."

"Su..re..ah, do you have any other info", James asked swallowing the words

Alex immediately picked up the vase which is a inch away from me in an effort to save that. Yeah, I can't blame him, had it been any other day, I would have smashed it...for cross questioning me for information...

I let out a smile rubbing my head wondering what would I do without him and said, "I have her number will it do?..here note"

" sure sir, will update by tomorrow possibly", James walked out.

Alex stood still with a strangled expression

"Alex, are you alright?"

"Boss...may I ask you something"

"What? do you wanted to know how I know her details?"

"No"

"Then what", I sighed

" am just wondering whether have you done anything else to get the deal?"

"Where in the world I could have done that...you are with me throughout. Are you expecting me to do something when I was taking my nature break?? " I smirked

He chuckled and said "am confident that you have planned something boss, you seems to be relaxed"

What can I do with him, he is unbelievable, I breathed out and said "Alex, as of now, we lost the deal and I stalled for time as I don't want my Dad to get Panic attack"

"Boss..."

"Cool Alex...let's handle it when it comes..now I have better things to do. Let's go it's already 7"

"Where?"

"Home, of course"

I waltzed across the floor and bounced in to the car. Alex was staring me through the mirror and I knew he was looking at me strangely since afternoon. I kept the car window down to feel the wind blow on my face...and Alex turned to look at me and hovered me to see if I have lost some screw on my head...

I smiled at him and said "Alex, have you ever seen smiles that are lively and beautiful? am sure you would have... but have you ever seen someone smiling through eyes?...the kind of smile that was so open that the eyes literally drooled..." he raised his knitted eyebrows and I continued "You know what, she must have searched me all these months, the way she looked at me today, especially when I had to leave...you were right Alex, I think I should know more about her", strangely enough, my eyes were welled with tears with smile on my lips as I spoke..

"Aju, are you alright? Heard the business deal didn't go well today? you don't worry about anything dear", My mom rushed towards me the moment she saw me entering the house along with steve,mats and vicky.

"Yes mom, I lost the deal...but am not worried over that", I said while embracing her

"Don't worry dude, we can still do something around", Vicky said concerned

"Come on Vicky, why should I be worried over this? you all know me. It's just a set back. Don't tell me you guys are here because of this?"

"set back?" Mats said moving closer to me and placed his palm on my forehead and asked "you...are you alright?",

"Shhh...am perfectly fine and sane. but am really sorry that I can't hang out with you guys today as I have got something important to do" I said with an urge to move to my floor.

"Is THAT something important is to do with the girl you were smitten with today?", Chitra entered with a smirk on her face

"Smitten??", I heard all of them screaming with four pairs of eyes blinked in unison

Holy shit!!! am screwed...I stood stunned and speechless by her sudden rebuke.
