Arjun's POV:

Creech! I stopped the car at the place where I met Dimple first. The highway remained same without any change, but in this one year, my life has changed completely. I saw my old self striding across the road followed by the watchman cursing the fate to even travel on the taxi. Crazy me! I chuckled. The sudden air blow took me back to the first time I saw her face...the Dimple on her face! My phone beeped - "Where the hell are you?" It was from Mats and I rushed into the car to head on.

When the watchman greeted and opened the gate, I felt a strong need to stop the car. I wind down the window and thanked him. He was clueless, well, that must be the first time he hearing me say that.

"Child! it's been a long time", Meenam Aunty chirped while waiting at the lobby for me and I waved my hands with a huge grin. When I approached her, her eyes fixated wide open focused on an empty space in air

"Aunty, how are you?" she stood like a statue and I snapped and waved my hands in front of her to bring her back to sense

"huh, Child, you know it's been a very long time I saw you smiling like this. I was worried because you didn't come here for a long time. But I'm glad that you look cheerful", she said with her full smile and in a flash, Dimple's face flickered, in fact, I have started seeing her innocent smile in almost everyone when they share a smile. I've become uncontrollably fond of her.

When I walked in preparing myself to take the blow, all I witnessed was three of them slouched on the couch with open wide legs lazily and their grumpy faces crimson with fury.

"Man you really need to work on your timings. I really don't know how you are making it for your dates. You suck with timings specially these days", Mats chided and both Vicky and Steve shot eye dagger at me and I quietly squeezed myself on the couch.

Meenam Aunty entered with four glassed of Mango Margarita, our favorite cocktail ever. All three of them finished the drink in less than a minute as if they are gulping me down and I was still holding the glass dwelled on how to broach the topic.

They got up making a way out to the backyard and I stood up hesitantly making myself ready for the grand announcement

"Guys, before we begin, huh...I have something to announce" they all turned and cast a skeptical look

I broke out in cold sweat, my heart beat went crazily. Shit! Am I doing something illicit? Why do I feel this tensed to even tell them and if this gives me heebie-jeebies then how in the world I will tell her? Gathering all my courage finally I blurted out "I'm getting married"

They stood rooted to the ground with deadpan expression and I saw Mat's lips curled and he tried suppressing his laugh and failed miserably and let out a huge laugh and the other two laughed even harder.

"Eh?Er...huh..Marriage? You said? Do you think we are going to fall for that, do you?" Mats asked cackling.

I stood with hands on hips stared at them wondering what the hell I should do with these guys.

"Ha ha...funny, very funny! Isn't it? Yeah! My marriage is a funny thing for you guys. Right?" I mocked and sat avoiding their gaze, took a sip and the cocktail helped me settled down my nervousness a bit. They must have understood that I am being serious and slowly the room became pin drop silent as they sat back.

"Ahem!...if you are talking about Marriage, then have you...have you already proposed her?" Mats asked incredulously

"No, not yet. Hmm...Well, I'm planning to do that on my birthday" I said as a matter of fact.

" Whoa! Blast it man! Guys did you hear, he is going to propose on his birthday. Ooof! The high and mighty Arjun who once vowed that he will never propose to any girl in his lifetime is going to propose... Wow! Just wow! Can you guys believe it" he exasperated winking at them and they jumped out of the couch in full josh which infuriated me further.
