Arjun POV:It was raining heavily, when the car moved out of Paradise after the call, the roofs of the cars danced with spray and I heard the thunders of rains. It sounded like the buzzing of angry bees. It should be over 11 and the road was clear without traffic. I laid back closing my eyes pondered on inside thoughts, "Yes, they are in relationship" James voice echoed clashed with Mats voiceover "Oh seeing is different than being told Arjun, Did you ask her about the relationship? Don't assume things". I felt I have been torn between the two sides deeply and wanted to shout out loud.
Did I do anything wrong by giving her an ultimatum to choose? The whole of last week, I was very sure on ONE thing. Whatever I did was right and I can't tolerate compromises in any form...but for some reasons, now I started to question my decision.
"Creech!", my body jerked a bit and I wondered why the car has stopped moving, I looked up at Alex and his gaze directed to other side of the road...at first, the sight was hazy due to all the water drops on the glass, when I managed to get the view, my eyes widened...Dimple, what the hell! What is she doing here middle of night that too in rain...she was standing next to a car probably the one she must have been and waving her hand to the taxis that was crossing her. She was completely drenched and the car appeared to be broke down, the driver was on call with someone outside the car too.
"Boss, should we", Alex asked
"Do we have an umbrella?" I asked removing my blazer
"Yes, we do boss, should be in trunk, do you wanted to pass it over to her?"
"Both of you get down with that, I will drive"
"But Boss..."he stuttered and I continued "Do you expect me to leave her like that? Get down right away!"
I have not really driven the car lately; but managed to get the hang of it as it was night time and it's raining. I have decided to stay at an acceptable speed.
I took the U turn wondering how she would react and my heart started fluttering. I stopped the car at the pathway where Dimple was standing, she looked very devastated. I did saw her eyes lighten up at the sight of me, but I wasn't really sure whether she was happy or not. She looked relieved.
"Hop on" I said in a flat voice deliberately not wanting to show any emotions and she hesitated. I felt a sudden lump in my throat, "If you are waiting for someone do that while staying in the car", I insisted
"Any problem Madam" the driver asked looking at me and I started feeling anxious at the thought that what if she really not bothered about me, my hands started trembling and fingers tapped the steering.
"Oh no issues, he is here to pick me. Hope you will go safe or do you want me to drop you at some place", she asked him concerned
Drop? In Lamborghini...she must be kidding... I didn't bother about his response. She bid a bye to him and got into the car.
I glanced at her; she looked absolutely stunning on the black top which was affixed with her body. Her hair and face was completely wet and the rain did brought her creamy yellow skin glittered. Raindrops were falling down from her hair, eyes, cheeks and lips...Lips, it looked like a rose petal. Suddenly, she looked at me, unable to hold eye contact, I moved my gaze. I picked out the towel from backseat and handed over it to her...
"Am good", she refused "This is Paradise's executive director car and I can't risk to mess it, please dry yourself" I insisted...she hesitated for a minute and picked it from my hand and start using it. Paradise is the place I work, that's what I told her when she inquired about my job over call.
