I immediately shook my head as we arrived at the 'dog pound'.

"Tae", I grabbed his sleeve and called his name

"Yes?" he obliviously asked

"This is not a dog pound. This place is clearly an animal shelter", I pointed at the giant sign written in front of the place as he raised his eyebrows

"Dog pound and animal shelter are not the same term?" I facepalmed myself at his question

"Of course not, a pound is where they keep lost pet or stray dogs until shelters or rescue group take them to the- Yah!" he yawned at my rant as I hit him

"Sorry, it was like listening to a documentary. But still, we're going to take care of dogs and cats, isn't it great?" he clapped like a little kid as I chuckled

"Sure, but are we allowed to just go in and-"

"Taehyung-ah, is that you?" a voice of an old lady interrupted as we both turned our heads to her

"It's me Mrs. Kang", he grinned widely and the old lady hugged him tight as he returned it. She broke from the hug then averted her gaze to me, I bowed and said a formal hello to her.

"And this lovely lady must be Yoo Hera", she kindly stated as I was a bit confused

"Yes I am, I didn't know you know my name, Mrs. Kang", I smiled as she looked over to Taehyung

"Taehyung here hasn't shut up about you since-", Taehyung cleared his throat loudly as she laughed

"Anyway, he has been planning to take you here for quite some time, dear", she nudged Taehyung as I laughed

"So you've been planning this huh?" I teased as his cheeks redden

"When can we start Mrs. Kang?" Taehyung purposedly ignored me as I crossed my arms playfully

"Oh someone's excited, I'll tell you the drills as we walk inside", she smiled warmly and led us in

The animal shelter was neatly organized and well maintained. Mrs. Kang said they currently only take in dogs and multiple cats. She told us about basic groomings and their foods, also their breeds. I was upset and sad at the same time when I heard that most of the pets here are abandoned by their owners. How cruel.

"Today, I'm assigning you both to take care of this fellow. Come here, Kimchi", she called a golden retriever as it ran and practically hover over Taehyung

"Kimchi?" I asked Mrs. Kang as she laughed

"He only responded when we called him Kimchi and his favorite food also happens to be kimchi"

"Aw that's cute", I admired the scene I'm witnessing right now. Taehyung looked so carefree and happy while playing with the golden retriever

"Hello Kimchi, I'm Taehyung and nice to meet you", He said as Kimchi licked his face while wiggling his tail. I kind of stayed back a bit because it's been a while since I came in contact with dogs.

Taehyung averted his gaze to me and smirked evilly.

"Kimchi-ya, don't you want to greet the beautiful lady over there?" the dog is smart as he immediately ran to me and I fell because of the impact. Kimchi licked my face as I giggled and sit myself up.
