Life,
The essential core every breathing human being had, but taken for granted. Every passing day was a blessing, yet the hurdles and endless obstacles made it seemed less important.

It numb human in many toxic ways, they started thinking it's useless and unworthy. Some gave up already on their unchanging fate, some wanted another life to end and the rest, ruthless reality took their lights of hope completely.

My life had been everything but steady, but I never came to a point of surrender. At times, I tend to ponder over how idiotic people were for not appreciating their lives, just because being alive itself was something fairly hard to achieve

But now,
I understood them.

Living without purpose was dreading and soul consuming. Knowing the sole reason you're alive was no longer valid, it drove you insane

When I saw him dying in my embrace, I knew.

His dark brown eyes,
The only thing I had been missing, the only thing I had been longing to see. Getting trapped in the depth of his stare, sucked into his world and being the only one he let into his tangled universe, I wanted that.

Wrapping my cold hands around his still ones, gazing at his fading honey glazed skin and drying lips

"I miss you"

These painful words I could only mutter repeatedly as my fingers stroked his silky hair, lovingly

"Please wake up"

Every time the weak beating of his heart was heard on the monitor, another small part of my soul would escape this dying body

It had been two weeks ever since that day. The operation was successful, but it wasn't any much of help. Taehyung's body was already weak from the start, his addiction to liquor weakened his immune system and generally his organs' functions. The stab wound triggered the domino effect

They said all we could do was hope. Hoping for Taehyung to fight through on his own, hoping he was strong enough to survive

"Don't give up, Taehyung"

Those were the only thing I could silently muttered to the air, hoping it would reach him

"Hera"

Illusion, I opened my eyes to see that I was not there with him. It was my mind playing vivid imagination of the last time I got to see him before being taken away by my very own sister.

The familiarity of this voice was long gone, replaced by mortal disappointment and disbelief. Looking up to see the tired face, I only stared blankly as she sighed deeply

"Please eat. You need to drink your medicine after this"

Haneul ordered me in such a weak tone, as if she knew I wasn't going to listen. Refused to speak, I shifted my body to the other side of the bed, grunting and enduring the pain of my body while doing so

"Hera, please"

Tears were pooling around my eyes as she begged me. I was tired of this too, but I knew she won't change her mind

"Let me see him"

I breathed out heavily as tears began to fall, making me had to grip onto the bed sheets to held in my sobbing
