A new child (Enoch X Reader)

Chapter 2

Carmen's P.O.V

I wake up a little later then usual, I get dressed and make sure I look pretty today because today is the day I try to get Enoch to like me. I walk down stairs and Miss Peregrine was standing there with a cup of tea "well good morning Carmen" she says taking a sip of her tea "good morning Miss I'm sorry I didn't wake up early enough" I reply looking down "it's alright, Enoch is up in his room, go and try to get to know him" she says pointing up stairs.

I walk up to his room and nock on the door, nothing happens so I open the door slowly. I walk in and see Enoch working on something "good morning Enoch how-" but he cuts me off before I can finish my sentence "I heard what Miss Peregrine said, she wants me to get to know you" he says not taking his eyes off his contraption " what are you working on" I ask walking up behind him. He slowly turns around "you wanna see" he asks smirking, I nod slowly and watch him, he puts two little hearts in the dolls. He whispers something and they get up and start fighting to the death, soon enough one brutally kills the other. I stand there speechless "I guess your scared now" Enoch says looking down "are you crazy that was amazing" I reply smiling. He looks up at me "you really think it's cool" he asks with a hint of hope in his voice "it's not just cool it's amazing, can you do it again" I ask excited "yes I can do it as many times as I want. Do you really think my speciality is cool" he asks smiling at me "yes its amazing, un like mine" I say a bit sad "what's so bad about yours" he asks looking at me sincerely. I don't answer I just take his hand into mine but the thing is he doesn't pull away like everyone else "why are you holding my hand" Enoch asks confused "well usually when someone touches me they flinch because I'm so cold" I reply. Enoch takes his other hand and places it on mine "I don't think your cold I think you as normal as me" he says smiling, all I do is giggle.

A couple of hours later Enoch and I are still playing around with the dolls, until Miss Peregrine calls us down for supper. I quickly go to my room, get ready and run down stairs but this time instead of wanting to sit far away from Enoch I gladly sat right beside him. He looked at me and smiled, I smiled back "well you two look like you've been getting along" Miss Peregrine says smiling a little "yes Miss we have been getting along very well" I reply still looking at Enoch and him still looking at me. We start eating supper  and everyone's silent for some reason, so I try to break the silent "how was everyone's day" I ask as I take a bite of my food "it was fine" Fiona responds. 

At the end of supper it's movie time, I asked why we didn't do it last night and it was because I came to late. We all sit around a projector screen and we wait. Horace sits down in a chair at the back of all of us, he puts on a sort of maniacal thing. Then all of a sudden something starts to project, then I remember Horace can project his dreams. We all sit in silent and watch it starts off with him trying a new suit on, then it turns to the front of the house and a boy is standing there, it's not one of the boy's from the house it's a new boy, then it flashes to another scene and it's the boy and he's pulling me into a room and we just stand there staring at each other then I speak "Jacob I can't I have to go back to Enoch, he's waiting for me" then the boy named Jacob finally speaks "Carmen please I need to tell you something....please" then he takes my hand but before anything can happen, the scenery turns black and I'm on the floor and Enoch is hovering over me "Carmen please wake up.....I need you" he says. Before anything else can happen Miss Peregrine turns on the lights and everyone boos, I look at Enoch and he looks at me.

Miss Peregrine tells us all that it's time, again I'm confused but before I can ask someone what's going on I feel someone take my hand. I turn around and see that it's Enoch "don't worry fallow me" he says kindly. I fallow all of them to the back, Enoch passes me a gas helmet and I put it one. Soon planes start to fly over us and the last one drops a bomb onto the house, I quickly clench onto Enoch's arm with fear, but before the bomb can hit us Miss Peregrine stops the time and starts to revers it. At the end she tells us all to go to bed, I walk up to my room with the rest of the kids but before I can walk into my room Enoch stops me "Carmen wait" he says I'm his thick Irish accent, all the kids stop and look at us "what is it" I respond smiling at him "can we spend the day together tomorrow?" He asks sweetly "oh Enoch I would love to" I say with a big smile on my face and without thinking I hug him. He stands there stunned for a little but soon enough he hugs back, I hear Olive and Emma squeal a little in the background. We slowly pull apart and smile at each other, before we can say anything else Olive pulls me into my room.
