Chapter 5

Carmen's P.O.V

The next day I wake up with the sun hitting me in the face, I get up and get dressed and run to Enoch's room, I run in without nocking and I soon find out that it was a bad idea because I bump into Enoch while he's carrying a jar with a heart in it and it spills all over my whites dress, now it's stained wait splotches of blood and the heart landed in my hands as I landed on my bottom. Enoch looks down at me and tries not to laugh "it's not funny Enoch look at my dress" I say throwing the heart at him, he catches it "I know it's not funny darling I'm sorry, but it doesn't look that bad, now come one we have to get working" before he can go I grab his hand "instead of working today can we just talk" I ask. He nods his head and we both sit on his bead "what do you want to talk about darling" he asks concerned "well anything, you, me......the dream" I say mumbling the last part "the dream.....I see" he says looking at me "you wont let me get hurt right Enoch" I ask concerned "yes I promis, you'll never get hurt" He replies "Enoch why dont you ever smile" "well because I have nothing that makes me happy" he replies looking at me blankly, "nothing makes you happy" I ask a little upset "ya nothing makes me happy" he says still looking at me blankly. I get up without responding and start walking away "hey Carmen wear are you going" Enoch asks a little concerned, I don't respond I just stop walking and think. Why am I upset Enoch and I are just friends nothing more nothing less, just friends and we will never be anything else then friends. I turn around and smile "oh nowhere Enoch, just walking around" reply. We continue working until Enoch stops "Carmen darling I have an idea" he says with an evil smirk on his face "what is it" I ask smiling at him "can you get the new boy for me I want to show him my specialty", I just nod my head and rundown stairs.

I run outside and see Jacob talking to the kids, I run up to him and tap him on the shoulder "oh het Carmen what's up" he says nicely "I want you to come up and officially meet Enoch he wants to show you his speciality"  I says smiling back at him, he nods his head and fallows me up stairs. We walk into Enoch's bedroom and I run up t him and stand behind him, Jacob walks up to the table and looks at us confused. Enoch clears his throat and puts out his hand, I quickly give him the tool he needs and Enoch keeps working. At the end he puts the two hearts in and the dolls wake up "that's amazing" Jacob says looking at them "that's not even the fun part" I say excitedly "oh show him the fun part" I say clapping my hands "well Jacob do you want to see the fun part" Enoch asks smirking at him, Jacob nods his head. Enoch whispers to the dolls and they start fighting, in the end one of them won. Jacob is standing there speechless and I start jumping up and down like a little girl "that was amazing, wasn't it Jack" I say smiling at him "it was cool" he replies walking out of the room.

Soon enough Jack leaves and it's almost time to go to bed, Enoch and I are still in his room making/fixing his dolls "hey Enoch can you make me a doll" I ask as I fidget around with a heart, Enoch takes the heart away from me "first don't fidget around with my hearts and second what kind of doll would you like" he responds as he puts the heart back into it's jar "surprise me" I say smiling at him "all right then, now can you get me one of those heads over there" he says pointing at one on the wall. I walk over to it and take it off the wall, and hand it to Enoch "Carmen tomorrow would you like to go into town with me and get some more hearts I'm running out" Enoch asks not taking his eyes off his work "I'd love to but now I'm going to bed. Goodnight Enoch" I say as I walk out of his room.

I'm walking to my room but before I get there Fiona, Hugh and Bronwyn stop me "Carmen would you like to play with us tomorrow" Fiona asks sweetly "I'm sorry I can't" "why" Bronwyn asks a little sad "because Enoch asked me to go into town with him" I respond "ooooooo like a date" Hugh says smiling at me "no not a date, we are just friends" "then what are you guys going to do" Fiona asks "we are going out to collect some more hearts, but maybe after I can play" I say to the kids, they smile and run off.
