Chapter 13- expect the unexpected

RYELIS POV;




Tyler.




One of the last people on Earth I would expect to see.




"What are you doing here?" I said mad. Tyler laughed.




"Well you see I kind of did this thing called planning. And so I planned this whole thing. If I kidnapped Benjamin you would've came crawling after. Leaving me to take you back to dad. And now here you are, so I would say my plan worked, huh?" he smirked. I rolled my eyes.




"You will never get me to go back to dad! This is my home now!" I yelled.




"Oh yeah? With who?" He asked.




"Benjamin!" I yelled. I felt Benjamin's stare. I kind of lied cause I'm actually living in California, but no one ever said I wanted to leave Benjamin.




"You think he loves you" Tyler said referring to Ben. I gave Ben a glance and said yeah.




"Well, he doesn't-" I cut him off. "Then why did he text me before anyone else to come and find him? Why would he of ditched his friends for our date we had planned? See, Tyler, you think you know me, but you don't. I snuck out of that house so many times while you were sleeping! You never knew me and you never will."




Tyler took a few steps towards me. "You were brave to do that?" He asked. I nodded my head.




"Then you would be brave enough to shoot me, right?" He questioned. Tyler handed me a gun. My heart raced. I felt Benjamin's hand slither into mine. Tyler was testing me. I realized tears were streaming down my face. I looked up at Tyler and he had no expression on his face. All the memories came flowing back. All the pain. It felt like just yesterday I was being abused by my own father.




My knees gave out and I dropped to the ground. I set the gun out in front of me and buried my face into the palms of my hands. I suddenly felt Benjamin's hand on the small of back. "Why can't you just leave her alone?" I heard Benjamin.










BENJAMINS POV:




I couldn't stand Tyler anymore. He doesn't need to do this to Ryeli. She never did anything to deserve any of this!




"Why can't you just leave her alone?" I said. Tyler laughed.




"Because it's about time she comes home you queer" he responded.




"Was that the best insult you came up with? To call me a queer? And if Ryeli wanted to come home she would! But she won't because of the way you and your dad treat her. Ryeli is a sweet, beautiful, special girl. And she does not deserve be treated less than what she's worth." I replied. Tyler looked at me then at Ryeli and back to me. Then the room was filled with awkward silence.




"You know what, you're right. I guess I was just so depressed that mom died and I didn't know how to handle it. Ryeli, I'm so sorry. Do you forgive me?" Tyler said. Ryeli looked up. Her Ryeli were red and her breathes were uneven. She began to stand up and she nodded her head. Ryeli walked into her arms and a shiny object came across her waist. I ran towards Ryeli and pulled her away as quick as possible. Tyler started swinging his shiny object around in my face and I started to back up. When I got the chance I kicked him right in his stomach making him fall back. The object fell out of his hand and I looked over at it. It was a knife. I watched Ryeli pick it up. I looked back at Tyler and put my fists up.
