Chapter 14- back home

BENJAMINS POV:




The police station decided to meet the Denmark Police Station halfway. Ryeli and I were sitting in the back of the police car. I had one arm around her while she fiddled on her phone.




"So what did you mean by I've done so much more for you?" I ask. I intertwined our fingers and put a stand of her hair behind her ear.




"Benjamin, you have been by my side through it all since I've met you! Even when you thought you lost me forever. You were still there. An-and if it wasn't for you god only knows what I would've done! what if my brother tracked me down like he did without you. I would have gone back to my dad. And be beaten for everything I do and everything I say and every breath I take" she cried. I took her into my arms and she cried into my shoulder.




"I can't do it anymore Benjamin. I can't go back" she whimpered. I began stroking her long hair to comfort her.




"Shh...you don't have too" I told her.




"I'll protect you baby," I said, "I promised you I always would."

RYELIS POV:




My phone was buzzing like crazy.




Lillie: when are you coming home?

Lillie: will it be soon?

Lillie: or today?

Lillie: I miss you

Lillie: are you still with that guy?




Me: no I am not still with that guy but I am with Benjamin and we don't really know when we are coming home. We haven't even got Ben home.




Lillie: thank The Lord you are with someone. I have been so worried!




I locked my phone and rested my head on Benjamin's shoulder. It was 10:28 p.m. in Denmark. I slowly started drifting to sleep. But, before I did I felt Benjamin's lips press against my nose.




"Goodnight angel" he whispered in a sleepy voice.




~Benjamin's House~




"Ryeli wake up were home" my eyes fluttered open. I looked around and my eyes focused on Ben's mom. She was standing there in her pajamas with Amanda and Marius. Benjamin and I stepped out of the car and we stood in front of his mom. She immediately gave him a tight hug. Then she looked at me and smiled. She pulled me into a hug.




"Thank you so much for saving him" she said with a smile. She patted my arm and spoke to the police while Ben and I talked with Marius and Amanda.




"They were so big! I thought they were giants!" Benjamin told his story to Marius. I smiled at Benjamin's exaggeration.
