They knew that this was their chance to get the rock off if not their last so they hurried and lunged at the rock to get it off as quickly as possible. Is slid off easily but underneath was a torn up wing. The ground was shaking more and more and they knew they had to get out quickly.
Exchanging worried looks, the pair reached for the injured dragon, and lifted the unconscious male into the air by the talons.
"Boy, is he heeaavy!" Mirsoth grunted to his sister, who mumbled something in reply and sped up. The journey back to their kingdom was long and rugged, but they knew that if they didn't want another one of their kind to leave, they would need to suffer through the long fly they had ahead. Luckily they met Cynder half way and she helped all she could by flying at the bottom to steady Crusher. After a long, silent flight, the four dragons reached the long awaited dragon kingdom, secluded in a far away mountain valley.
The kingdom was a breathtaking sight. Beautiful and bustling, dragons flew all around the marketplaces and streets, and into comfy little houses in the sides of the valley walls. Mirsoth sighed a sigh of relief when he saw, once again, that the dragons in his home were safe and sound.
Happy to be home, the siblings flew down towards the towering building lined with stone statues of warriors and proud standing dragons in each glowing mosaic window, telling tragic tales and stories of love and war. There was a water filled moat with the dreaded lake dragons swimming quite beautifully. There it proudly stood in the center of the valley. Saluting to their fellow guards, they passed through the gates and into the lobby of the elegant palace.
"I can never remember where the throne room is..." Cynder muttered, embarrassed. She rubbed her forehead nervously as she racked her brain, trying to find the directions to the queen's throne room. She knew it was in there somewhere.
In the middle of Cynder's struggle, Paranoth sighed and grabbed her sister's talon, leading her to the throne room she was trying so hard to remember.
As they entered the room, the guards next to the throne tensed up, a reflex they've adopted as a result of the war. The trio set the ginormous dragon down in front of the queen.
"Your majesty," Paranoth said, as she and her siblings bowed. "We found this dragon in the rubble of the collapsed mines. His left wing was stuck underneath a boulder. We wanted to come to you before the we went to the healers."
NThe queen tapped her claws on the shiny golden throne she was positioned in, thinking. "Thank you, Paranoth. Does he have a pulse?" She questioned.
"A weak one," Paranoth said sternly. The dragonesses glanced at the unconscious dragon in front of them and back at each other. Mirsoth shifted his position slightly, showing that he was uncomfortable.
"We might be able to save him. Mirsoth, Cynder, help Paranoth bring him to the healers." The queen said quickly.
The younger two nodded as Paranoth replied with a "Yes, Queen Athena,". Mirsoth grunted as he moved to pick up the Lemon yellow dragon's talon. The sisters grabbed a hold of the giant and lifted him into the air and out into the hallway towards the healing room.
