"Move it or lose it people!" You politely push past the tiny men, women and children trying to make your way to the front of the crowd. They all made a clearing for you making sure they didn't step on your long, white petaled dress.
Bogs had over ran the pod ceremony, in which your sister, Queen Tara was at. Everybody had panicked at the news of the young queen and consistently continued to stop you from going to the battle field. "Y/n where are you going?!" You turned but kept going. "Saving my sister!" You turned back around and jump over to the side of the crevasse everyone huddled into. You picked up your frame with leaves and vines of all sorts, thrusting yourself faster and faster to where Tara was at. You saw ahead of you a light that was nearing you. You gasp. "Tara!" Your sister looks at you and makes a sharp turn to your side, loosing some Bogs on the way. "Y/n what are you doing?" She says sternly. "Making sure my sister was okay!" She rolls her eyes and you both continue to run as fast as you could before rotten arrows got to you.
You notice that something was wrong as you pick yourself and her up with an oak tree branch. "Where's the pod?!" Her arms were empty. "I gave it to Grub!" You make a face. "Why Grub?! Or any of those slime suckers for any reason!" She laughs and shakes her head.
In the distance you see her parade float still being carried into the air way away from the danger. "Tara jump!" She looks at you. "What?!" You groan. "JUST DO IT!" She yells as she falls down from the branch you were currently on. Before she could hit the jagged ground, you swiftly move your hand to catch her in another branch that could reach the flowered boat before too late. "Now!" You scream at her and she immediately jumps and lands in the hovering craft just in time for it to quickly take off. Tara turns her body and looks at you with sadness that you didn't go with her, and she did until you couldn't see her anymore. You hold back the tears from falling down your face and you kept going trying to distract the pesky buggers from catching you. "Need a lift your highness?" You twist your head to find your best friend Nod zipping by your side on his humming bird. "Yep, please!" You hop onto the fast bird and clutch to the handsome fighter. "So what happened to the queen?" He shouted over the commotion. "She took the float!" He nods his head and turns a sharp left. You pull your body back onto the animal before you could fall off and he laughs. "Can't take the heat?"
"Oh shut it Leaf boy!"
"I bet you could make me."
You close your mouth and a bright red blush poured over your cheeks. "Toché." He laugh's some more and drops down into a pit right underneath you letting the bird fly away to distract the enemy. Nod grabs your hand and pulls you into the ditch further to hide yourselves from the light. You could see that the tunnel only got smaller and smaller as you progressed further and further. Roots had covered you both to shield you from anything that just happens to fly past the leaf men and to the both of you.
"That was close huh, especially now." You look at him and make a stern face. "Okay, jeez Ronin jr." You scoff. "I am nothing like that man!" He raises and eyebrow. "Are you suurrree?" You calm yourself down. "Yes."
He chuckles. "I'm only joking. Trying to, ya' know, Lighten the mood." You form your mouth into a line. "Well your doing a terrible job." Minutes after a silence succumbed over you and you just sat there twiddling your fingers till you thought the battle was over. Nod clears his throat. "S-so y/n I just wanted to ask if you liked anyone?" You lift an eyebrow. "What? Why?" He shrugs. "I mean why not Theres a possible terrorist outside so...I thought why not?" You giggled. "Well I guess then..."
"You do?!" You nod and smile. He gulps and folds out his hand to signal you to continue. "Well...He has the most amazing hair, beautiful eyes...An amazing personality and quite a brilliant fighter." He slouches a bit. "What?" He hums. "You acted like a child then, what?"
"Well, I may or may have a crush on someone too." Your face lightens. "Who is she?? Unless your not...you know into that." He shakes his shaggy brown hair. "No, no, no! That's not it." You sigh. "Well who is it then?!" He thinks for a second. "Let's see...She has a horrible sense of humor, but amazing hair. She also has the best friend, hopefully boyfriend- " He winks. -"That anyone could ask for." Your speechless, he was talking about you. "W-wait... Nod?" He stares you in the eyes. You fold a piece of hair behind your ear. "Is that, me?" He grips your chin and pulls you to his lap, gently. "Maybe." You both smile just as he quickly connects your lips with his. His lips were like a used square of sandpaper, some spots soft, some ruff (SPL?) I know weird description but it makes sense in a way.
Nod had gripped the back of your head to pull you closer to him to deepen the kiss that had you interlocked. Quickly, sunlight flushed in the cave halting you both and pulling away from each other. "Who knew my baby sister had a not so innocent side?"
Tara. Ronin. Grub and his brother. All smirking in unison.
