You stand around the castle in your maids uniform holding a tray of tarts while the royal family was eating. You look over the kings seat and spot prince Meredith. He hadn't touched a thing on his plate while his family was scarfing it all down, except the queen of course. He had been moping over his plate for whatever reason there was. 'Are you ok?' You mouth to him. He shakes his head. 'I'm so tired...' He mouths back. 'Why?' You ask. 'Training. Can't sleep at all...' You frown. 'That sucks.' He nods. You give him a friendly smile. 'It will all be over soon.' 'Their talking about marriage.' You stop smiling and blush. He smirks. The queen waves you over to the long table and you rush over with your tray. "Yes your highness?" "Just the tarts please." You nod and curtsy just a bit then start to pass around the desert.
"Y/n are you okay?" Meredith asks. You turn to him. "Yes why do you ask sir?" You wince at you saying Sir. "You're blushing, do you have a fever?" You try your best not to smack the older prince upside the head.
"Actually know that you think of it I do feel quite light headed." You pretend to hold your hand over your forehead and feel queasy. "Well if you do we don't want you to faint. Go and lie down, please get better." You bow and thank the queen. You place the silver tray of sweets on the long table. As you were backing out of the large dining area you spot Meredith looking at you with a squint. You smile and stick your tongue out childishly. You close the large chamber doors and bolt down the halls to your bedroom. Laughing, you strut through your door and jump onto your bed as it closes behind you. You calm down just before drifting off into sleep.
The next day had been the princes 'bride championship' of some sorts that the servants of the castle had to change into something different for. You had been given a dark blue velvet dress with a satchel hanging over the bodice. It wasn't too flashy to draw peoples attention away from the princesses but enough to see that you were there. You rush down the stair case, hair flying behind you, and run into the kitchen. Others had begun to suit up with aprons and such whilst carrying trays of food down to the fields. Your dress had long flow-y sleeves which were hard to coordinate so the others gave you a cart to push instead of holding onto other things where the sleeves could get in the way. On your way to the field, you could see the triplets attempting to reach for one of the trays a maid was holding and you giggle as they scare her. When you get there a tent had already been set up for the event and food was lined across the table end to end. You push your cart next to the table and start unloading trays.
Out of the corner of your eye you could see Meredith reaching over the table at the tarts. "Meredith...Didn't your mother scold you about not eating any sweets during this?" You ask. He groans and places the sweet back on the table. "Not even one?" He whines and you shake your head.
"Nope, otherwise I would get a firm scolding." "I'll give you a firm scolding alright." He teases you. You gasp playfully and hit him on the arm. "You little bugger that was highly inappropriate!" He laughs and you laugh along with him. "Meredith!" Someone shouts and he groans. "Guess that's my que." He turns to you and bows. "M'lady." You curtsy back playfully. "Good sir." He starts to walk off not before bursting into laughter. Dear god what were you going to do with him?
Don't ask about the title I'm trying to do something sneky.
