You step out of your small cottage

You step out of your small cottage. Your dress drapes along the steps as you make your way towards the grass. Orks had begun to invade the north and had not stopped since. You and your family were of course terrified like every other family. People had began to spread rumors about a group of dwarfs and a hobbit trying to help out with the situation, but you honestly didn't believe them. You sighed as you carried a basket over to the garden your family planted, so far you hadn't grown anything.  "Y/n!" You turn around and see your younger sister running up towards you. "What is it y/s/n?" She smiles. "The elves are passing through! I thought that you'd might want to see!" You tiredly smile at her and make your way back to your house to set the basket on the steps. "Thank you for notifying me, let's go." Your sister quickly scurried along, like leaving you in her dust. You softly chuckle at her enthusiasm and try to catch up to her. In the distance you could heard horse hooves clatter against the ground. People had gathered along the side of the road just to watch them go by, like a parade.

You spot your sister and walk up to her. She motions you to lean down and you crouch besides her. "What is it?" "Their so...graceful." You nod and look up at their perfectly embroidered uniforms. "Why must they have such long hair?" She asks. "Well maybe it's just and elf thing." You joke and she giggles turning back to the men. You stand back up and fold your arms. You watch them pass by without even giving you all a second thought.

One of the solider's did catch your eye though. He had been placed in the front. His eyes wandered everywhere in awe. You smile a bit at his childishness, before another solider hit his arm making him face forward but not without one last glance at the shop you were standing next to. He had almost grey eyes and long, platinum blonde hair. Even for a second you thought that they had wondered over to you, looking at you, passing you up and down. He smiled for a mili-second making you blush. He looks back up front, hands on the reigns of his horse.

You felt a tug on your sleeve. You look down. "Why is your face all red big sis?" You smile. "I don't really know. Now let's get back to the house." You get a hold onto her hand and you both start to make your way to the cottage.

Small time skip~

Once you were back you grabbed your basket again and begin to head over to the garden. You kneel down and pick at the dirt fully knowing that nothing would come up. You groan. "Why am I doing this?" You stand back up and turn around. Gripping the basket at your hip you mope your way back to the door. A top the hill behind your house stood two men whom you were guessing one of them were your father.

They begin to make their way down the hill and to the building. "Y/n!" You wave to your father. He waves back. Quickly him and the other person jog to you. "Y/n I would like to introduce to you to Legolas, son of Thranduil." You bow at the young man. He gives you a small bow in return. When you both lean up your eyes widen. "You're-" You say at the same time. "Your the girl from the town, I swore someone was following me." You chuckle. "I live here, not technically following you then." He smiles at you. "He is here to navigate a route for troops for if the orks attack." You nod. "That sounds tiring." You joke, succeeding in making him chuckle. "Yes indeed it is. Would you like for me to show you?" You happily nod. Legolas starts to head back up the hill but your father holds onto your shoulder. "He's very handsome." You laugh and roll your eyes. "Yes, he is isn't he father?" He smiles and heads into the cottage while you tread up the hill.

Legolas had been standing there waiting for you with a small smile. He breathes out loudly starling you a bit. "What was that for?" "I was waiting for your father to leave so I could talk to you." Your cheeks flushed. "R-really?" He nods. "You seem like a very interesting person, if I am honest." He sits down onto the grass and pats a spot next to him. You slowly sit down while folding your dress underneath you. "You don't really think that do you?" He nods. "Yes I do. I could see it in your eyes, which might I say are a sparkling e/c." He casually flirts. Your blush had gotten a bit worse. "How could you tell that I was interesting by my eyes??" You ask. "Other beings do say that 'eyes are the windows to the soul'." You tilt your head. "Oh? I have never heard of that phrase before."

"Now you have." He smiles and looks out onto the plains before you both. "So, tell me a little bit about yourself." He says. "Well, I come from a rather large family that unfortunately half had been killed..." He looks at you with an empathetic look. "I'm very sorry to hear that." He says placing his hand onto your knee. "It's fine, it happened a long time ago. Now tell me something about you." He smiles. "I come from a history of elves called the Silvans, although my father is Sindarin." You nod following his story. "My mother was also Silvan, but had been killed during battle." You frown. "I'm sorry." He shakes his head. "It's fine." After that you both just sat there in each others company. "You know y/n, I actually enjoying conversing with you." You smile and look at him. "Really? Thank you, I as well with you." He smiles. "If you would let me, I would like to-" A horn goes off in the distance. Leoglas's ears perk up a bit, which you found adorable. "I'm sorry lady y/n, but I must go," He stands up, you as well. "Wait! What were you going to say?" You ask. He contemplates on his question before spitting it out.

"I-I would like t-to kiss you...."

Your eyes widen as he looks at the ground. Slowly you take a hold of his pale hands. "Y-you may." He perks up and smiles. The horn goes off one more time. He immediately becomes more flustered. Quickly, with both hands, he cups your face and presses his lips against yours. You press yours with his. You could feel him smile against you and you do the same. Slowly he leaves your lips. "Goodbye love."
