I scream in a far-too muffled voice to alert anyone to my distress. Ragdoll finally flips out of his stranglehold, and land with his legs over my body, so that I still can't move. At least I can breathe, hey?
Ragdoll's fingers worm his way up my neck like a creepy child playing creepy three little piggies, and I wince when he feels around the corners of my mask. I strike out with my arm, and try to throw the costumed pervert off me.
He only slightly cocks his head when I try this, and then laughs slightly as he simply gets off me and sits on the ledge next to me. With a double-tap of his palm on the tiles beside him - he gestures that I should sit too.
Eh. What harm could it do? This guy will be sitting in the GCPD by morning, no matter what he tries.
He smiles visibly beneath his porcelain mask and then promptly takes it off, revealing the skeletal face of the boy in the photo from earlier.
'I understand that you've been looking for me.' He speaks softly in a voice that a Mother might use to put a child to bed.
I stare nervously at the kid, and then he attempts to put his ice-cold hand on mine. I jerk it away and prepare to give him a fist in the face.
'No.' He pleads. 'I'm not the criminal that you're looking for!' He adds with a little hand gesture like a grandfather clock. 'Her name's Linda. I don't know much else. I've been looking for her. Who are you?' He smiles - I wonder if that's the only expression that he's capable of.
'My name's... Panic.' I announce.
'Real name?' He jests playfully.
'No.' I instantly deadpan, 'Any idea where to find this Linda?' I ask him back in return, to make sure that he doesn't ask for my name again.
'Go see the mayor!' Grins Ragdoll cheerfully, and then he skips off the roof, vanishing instantly from my vision almost as quickly as he appeared.
