'What are you seeing? Whatever it is it's not real.' Coaxed Gordon, his hands on my shoulders as I sat on a chair feeling my body quiver and twitch. Out of the corner of my fogged and terrorised vision, I could just about see Ed and Wesker running around - practically just from side to side - around a large table that actually seemed to have a live octopus on it...

Anyhow, Harvey Bullock is busy munching on a pastry as always, and also trying to get the frenzied scientists under control to not much avail. He appears only mildly shocked when he is physically battering-rammed out of the way by Wesker; holding a syringe filled with black liquid. Jane laughs to herself in the corner: and so I just give her the mental middle finger.

I feel weirdly out-of-body right now, and then Gordon takes me back to the physical world quite suddenly when he ties a leather strap around both of my arms and a needle jolts itself into my vein. With a screech of pain, I snap back to the real world. Jane looks mildly pissed off about this.
'What then hell!' I exclaim at the terrified Wesker stood in front of me. 'What was that?' Continues me. Wesker ran away.

I look at Gordon in unsurprised relief. Ed walks up to me, whilst staring at the cowering form of his assistant crouched behind the desk. 'Erm. Yes, Ms. V, the toxin that was in your bloodstream should be becoming neutralised pretty quickly by a modified strain of monoclonal antibodies created from the ink-substance from the glands of the animal. Or possibly the genitalia. Did you know that octopi have-' Smiles Ed warmly. 'Too much detail, kid.' Growls back Harvey, and pushes Ed back behind his lab door like an annoying jack-in-a-box.

Nygma barely has time to give a
saddened look to Bullock before the translucent glass meets his nose with a worrying 'smack'.
'Nice to have you back, Violet.' Smiles Bullock, pressing his elbow against the door to make double sure that Eddie cannot get past it.
'I feel weird. Oh my god.. what happened?' The words practically fall from my lips as I cradle my aching head.
'You were hallucinating. A lot. That substance is really powerful. If I can just work out where it came from...' Grins Ed from in front of a boggled Harvey.
Harvey stares at him, and Ed turns around and simply says 'There's a back door to the lab!'

My heart skips a beat when I realise that, upon scanning the room, I can't see Jane anymore. I fist-pump mentally, and then sit myself down at the precinct desk to ask if we have any leads on Ghost.
I hear snoring from behind me, and I turn around to see a one-armed Tockman fast asleep on Flamingo's shoulder in a prison cell.
'How sweet.' Remarks Harvey.
