Let's Make a Scary Tunnel

'I'm feeling better.' I squeeze out the words after Ed pretty much jams his medical instruments down my throat. 'I'm fine, I swear.' I continue to shamelessly lie, as I stare at Jane stood in the corner. She's just busy playing nonchalantly with a scalpel and a bit of human that she must have picked up from a morgue somewhere.
She's not real. I need to remember that.

'You don't look fine. Your eyes are doing a strange thing that would probably be comparable to REM sleep.' Says Ed, shining a massive light into my eyeball. Jane agrees enthusiastically.
'Ed...' I start, 'is there a scary woman in the corner?' I finish, and then see Ed's face relax when he realises that he is completely correct and that the gas is still effecting me. 'Can I take a sample? I need to check how deep this contamination is!' Smiles Nygma, attempting to make a laughing face to try and mask his intentions of taking a blood test.
'Screw it. Fine.' I decide aloud, and then walk out of the room with Edward. Jane skips down the corridor just slightly behind us.

Soon I find myself on a leather chair, with restraints attached to my arm and a needle penetrating said arm. With plenty of wincing gestures, the syringe fills with the crimson liquid. Jane looks at the medical instrument and looks totally thrilled. She flicks it and then makes a face that says 'huh' at me.

'Hey, on your way out, can you check the security cameras for a woman with no skin?' Asks me, taking Edward by the shoulder as he leaves humming 'Virginia Ham' and holding a bottle of my blood. I wait in the room, and open my mouth to talk to Jane.
'Hello?' I ask, looking around the room and trying to find my least favourite hallucination.
'Hi!' She giggles, seemingly just appearing in front of me and then relishing the shocked eyes that I make.
She teleports straight back to her position in the corner as Harvey Bullock walks in eating a pastry of some kind.
'Hey Violet. Y'okay? I hear you had quite the trip.' Jokes Harvey, and undoes my restraints and welcomes me back into the cortex of the precinct. Jane looks deeply disappointed by this movement.

When I walk back into the precinct, I am greeted by Ed sat at his desk holding a little bottle of black liquid.
He opens his mouth to speak, and then looks mildly disgruntled when Harvey asks for no riddles. 'Okay. This is quite fascinating really. You know how I said that this was a hydrocarbon? I was wrong - partly - this is actually the envenomated ink substance from a cephalopod of some kind!' He joyously sings.
'English?' Inquires Gordon, standing in front of the cell block that seems to contain the Flamingo (and a one-armed Tockman). Jane walks up beside the cell block and exaggeratedly mimes turning a key in the lock.
'Basically it's octopus slime.' Smiles Ed at the simpletons.
