Rounding up the troops

Gage's POV

After a rather interesting visit to the Vamps in New Orleans, we travel to several other covens that are friendly terms with Rae. "Ok, Team, we are headed to Witch territory. I don't have as many allies as I would like there, but there are a few." Rae tells us as we leave a coven in Florida. "Where are we headed now, Rae." I ask her. She smiles,"Texas. It has a heavy population of witches and demons. We need as many as we can get on our side." We all join hands and land outside of a ranch. "Horses?" Tank asks confused. Rae laughs, "Supers have to blend in, ya know." She knocks on the door and a tiny grey haired old woman opens the door. "Rae? Is that really you?" She rasps out. Rae nods, "Of course, Momma Jane. I have come to talk to Percy about the resistance. I believe it is time and I am gathering the army." The old woman nods and motions us inside. We follow her to a kitchen where there are several pots boiling away on the stove a a tall thin woman with frizzy black hair fussing are around the stove muttering curses. Rae laughs, "Percy, you are so messy." The woman spins around with wide brown eyes locked on Rae. "Rae Ann! I am so glad you are here, I have been trying to fix this spell for weeks and it just keeps going wrong." Percy exclaims. "Which one?" Rae cocks her head to the side while looking at the pots on the stove.

Another woman walks in with honest to God glowing green hair. "She was trying to make a simple hair mask, my hair has been eight different colors and she can't fix whatever she screwed up." Rae looks at the green haired woman and laughs. "Oh, Lulu. You look great." Lulu glares at Rae, "Fuck off, lab rat. This shit is awful. I haven't been able to go into town in a month and I was supposed have a date with Tommy, but had to cancel because I am a walking freak show." This just makes Rae laugh harder. I growl slightly at her cursing at Rae and the two women look at us, shocked. "Rae, who are your friends and why are they growling at Lulu?" Percy asks carefully. "Oh, damn, I'm sorry. This is my main team and my mate." Rae whispers shyly. Lulu shrieks, "YOU FOUND A MATE! OH MY COCO PUFFS!" She rushes Rae and grabs her in a fierce hug while jumping up and down. Rae looks over the girls shoulder with a "save me" look and I just laugh. When she lets go, Rae introduces each of us to the witches and explains why we are here while fixing the spell that made Lulu look radioactive. Percy agrees to speak to the other witches and let us know and Lulu looks better after her hair is a dark glossy brown.

"Now, to visit some demons, listen, keep your emotions in check, they can use them against you. The demons we are visiting are friends, but not all demons are friendly. Stay with me at all times, no exceptions." Rae barks out as we appear in front a clay home in Arizona. She knocks on the door and a very tall, very large man covered in tattoos, opens the door and smiles down at Rae. "Holla, Rae of sunshine. What brings you to my doorstep?" Rae grins, "The resistance, Johnny. The time has come to fight. Will you join us and gather your troops?" God, she is sexy when she talks like that. "Come in, bring your friends. You must rest and eat, Rain drop." Johnny says and we follow Rae who gives us a look that says "Remember what I told you" and we all nod.

We eat spicy food and laugh with the demons after Rae introduces us all. "So, you have found your mate, little one?" Johnny asks with an amused look in his eye. "Rae quirks an eyebrow at him, "Yes, JoJo, and you leave him alone. He isn't used to your kind. There will be time for that after the HC has been taken care of." She scolds him and the large man actually pouts. "Ok, you win, for now. I will gather a strong, trustworthy group and join your fight. Let me know when and where." She nods and we say our good byes and leave.

"Next, we need to visit some angels. This one is tricky. The live in the Cascade Mountains of Washington." Rae says and we all look at her like she has lost her mind. "Hope you are ready!" And we are flashed to a large cabin in the mountains.  An enormous man with long black hair and piercing blue eyes wearing a black t-shirt that stretched tight across his wide chest and black leather pants opens the door with a fierce look on his face, making everyone, except Rae and Gabe slightly cower.

"Hey, Uriel! I need to talk with you and your brothers." Rae says lightly. "Ralph isn't here, he is in DC and I haven't the slightest idea where Gabe took off to. However, Michael, Raguel, Ramiel, and Sariel are here." He waves us inside and Rae introduces us all to the Arcangels. "You know why I am here, Uriel. I cannot watch them do this any longer. I found my mate and if they find out, they will kill him. Tell me where that is right?" Rae slams her hand on the table, making the six large Arcangels jump. "Listen, Rae, Ralph has never agreed with this, but we have been waiting for you to make your stand. We were told you were the only one who could raise up and put an end to their ways." Sariel said, gently putting hand on Rae's shoulder. She looked up at him with those big blue eyes and smiled. "Then you will stand with us?" Each of the Arcangels nodded, "Even Ralph. He has been watching you and making sure that they don't try to damage you. You truly are the Peacekeeper and that means bringing peace to all the species." Ramiel said proudly. I couldn't help the sense of pride I felt looking at my beautiful and perfect mate. She would lead us and we would win!
