And baby makes three

Gage's POV

It has been weeks since the wedding, but unfortunately, we didn't get a honeymoon. Queen duty calls, but it's cool, we will get a vacation soon. As long as she is by my side, it doesn't matter where we are. Rae's belly is growing and it won't be much longer before the baby is here. We have had several ultrasounds but the little stinker doesn't cooperate, so we have no clue if it's a boy or a girl. Brat. Rae has been so busy lately that she doesn't have time to put together the nursery so the guys and I are going to surprise her with it. She says she is trying to get as much done as possible so she can spend time with me and the baby once it is born. 

The nursery took forever, but it is done. We did it in soft grey and yellow. I hope she loves it. I gather all the guys in the nursery and find Rae in her office. "My sweet, come with me, I have a surprise for you." I tell her and she smiles at me. I take her hand and lead her to the nursery. "Close your eyes." She smiles and I open the door. "Open your eyes, love" She does and everyone yells, "Surprise!" She laughs, "it's so beautiful, Thank you!" She hugs everyone and they all have baby gifts for her. She suddenly doubles over in pain. "Rae? What is it?" I ask her, worried. "It's time, Gage. The baby is coming." SHIT! I scoop her up in my arms and we all rush to the infirmary. "DOC! THEBABYISCOMING!" I yell and he pops his out of his office. His eyes widen and he leads us to the delivery room. "Put her down there and everyone out!" He yells. I put Rae down on the bed. "Who wants to stay and help?" Doc asks everyone but Xavier and I leave. We stand on either side of Rae and Doc starts his exam.

"Ok, Rae you are almost fully dilated, why did you wait so long? How long have you been in labor?" He asks her. She smiles, "I have been in labor all day, but I knew that my water hadn't broke, so I had time." I laugh at her, always doing work. "You know, I may have to break your water, you are nearly at 10 centimeters. You are going to have to push soon." He tell her and she nods. I see her wince in pain as another contraction hits. Ten minutes later, her water is broken and she is ready to push. "Ok, next contraction, I need you to push, Rae." Doc tells her and she nods. Another ten minutes and I hear our baby cry. "Congratulations, Rae and Gage, It's a boy." Doc says holding a messy crying naked baby. "let me get him cleaned up and he's all yours."  Rae plops back on the bed, drenched in sweat and never has she been more beautiful. "What are you staring at, Alpha?" She asks me with her eyes closed. "A living, breathing, miracle. The love of my life. The most beautiful, strongest, bravest woman in the world." I answer. She laughs, "I am sweaty, bleeding, sore, tired, but not beautiful, Gage. I know what I look like right now." Xavier shakes his head, "he is right, Raindrop. You are beautiful and what you just did without meds, was amazing. You were already my hero, but you just took that up a notch." She laughs again and shakes her head.

 Doc comes in and hands her the baby. She rocks him back and forth, cooing to him. Then she hands him to me. "Here, dad." She smiles as I take him. He opens his eyes and I am struck silent. They are deep blue, just like Rae, his hair is between red and blonde. "What are we going to name him?" she asks.  "Oliver Cole Hunter." I answer her. She smiles. "I love it." 

When she and Oliver are cleaned up and released, we head back to our room. She leaves me with the baby and takes a shower. When she is done, there is a knock at our door. "Get comfortable, love. I will see who it is." I tell her and she climbs into bed and I hand her the baby. I open the door to the team and the HC. "We have visitors." I lead them in and she laughs. Everyone piles in and passes around the baby. Cooing and laughter fill the room. This is the life. I have my wife and my baby, plus a big extended family, what else could a man ask for.
