Derek over filled with joy couldn't contain his happiness he drowned her with kisses. "shh..mere get some rest,"

Meredith was still hopped up on pain killers so she couldn't feel the agonizing pain...yet.

"Okay dr.shepherd we need you to leave we still need to reset the shoulder and hip." As major hunt shooed Derek out of the OR.

"Please I need to be with her. She hates hospitals"

"Der... Derek you are the one that.....hates hosp-itals. I gr-grew up in one,I'll be fine. make sure Lexie is okay..and Mark"she muttered in between her shots of pain.

Derek ,being very observant, hesitantly backed out of the OR.

"Callie be-be gentle... cause her minimal pain, I know that isn't possible but it helps to know you won't be enjoying this...please tell me you won't be enjoying this"

"Derek,you know better than anyone that I won't be enjoying causing the love of your life pain.i will be as gentle as I can. okay? "

He nodded and left the operating room.

"Okay Mer even with all the morphine this is gonna hurt like hell worse than giving birth okay, you know better than anyone this won't be a walk in the park ok? I'm not going to lie, this is gonna hurt like a bitch, an I'm sorry in advance,"

2"Callie yanked Meredith's shoulder and popped it back into place.

"Ahhh!!!!" Meredith yelled as she felt her bones grind together. her nerves on fire. "Son of a fucking shit bitch... shit Callie, what happened to three, a little heads up would be nice.."

"Meredith really 'Son of a fucking shit bitch' ? That doesn't make any sense"Callie said in amusement.

"Oh really you try having a car rammed up your ass and let me know if you give two flying shits about making sense!!!" Meredith snapped at callie.

"Oh...I'm sorry, just trying to lighten the mood.. jeez!"

Lighten the mood!! Lighten the mood !! I could have killed my daughter and Mark and you are trying to lighten the mood what the fuck is wrong with you!!!

She pursed her lips to keep from lashing out at Callie and just nodded.

Twenty minutes later

Meredith was now in the ICU. because her abdominal issues were still very worrisome. she was never left alone there was always a doctor,surgeon,nurse,or Derek. no one wanted to leave her a invade it went south.

Meredith was informed that Lexie was just on the border of critical and out of the woods. which was more than amazing considering her injuries.

Meredith demanded to see Lexie. but since she couldn't leave bed, not even to go pee. Lexie was brought to her room 2weeks after the accident. Meredith was still immensely critical. she coded at least three times a day each time it was harder to bring her back. but so far she was resilient.

"Mommy!! Mommy!!! Wake up mommy!"

Meredith heard her but she couldn't brig herself to open her eyes it was like they were glued shut.all she could bare to do was moan and make her lips twitch in a painful smile.

"H-H-Heyy.....L-Le-Lexie...."followed by a fit of coughs and painful winces.

"Alex, Alex honey, I think we need to let mom-"

Derek was cut off by Meredith's powerful jolts, her erratic heart beats, her forehead was covered with a sheet of sweat.

She was having a seizure.these never occurred.Derek and Lexie were both shocked. thy were ushered out of the room but the doctors only managed to get the two tear struck toddler out. Derek took it as his job to do the compressions. tears fell on her chest and Derek was crying over her.

"Der-Derek you need to leave..."Callie murmured

"NO!!!!! Get the hell away from her all of you!!!! Ol-Olivia please push another epi please..."

"Yes doctor"

"Meredith please,you can't leave me now, we are suppose to end up together, we are suppose to live happily ever after, I'm suppose to be your knight in shining whatever......forever and ever babe, remember"

After about thirty minutes of compressions. Derek was pulled of Meredith and practically chained to the chair next to the patient bed.

He just cried an cried for what seems like hours.

Meredith's after life

I woke up on luscious green grass, not the poky ugly grass that makes you itchy.i just wondered senselessly, when my feet finally meet the icy cold water of the Pacific Ocean. or of what I presume the Pacific Ocean. I was just standing there letting the water brush my feet, the welcoming wind stinging my face. when a pair of muscular,warm, familiar arms snaked around my waist. those warm ,plump ,inviting lips that I love so much found shoulder and trailed its way up my neck, up my cheek , and instead of heading to my needy lips they headed towards my ear and said "go back to them"
