Chapter 27. Bitter sweet

*In the car*

I had explained them everything, right from what happened when I met Wendy, to my tour to the washroom, except for the details of what had happened between me and Nick.

I even told them that Wendy and Nick are seniors and they definitely didn't take it nicely. I had to tell them that for it would have been revealed someday and then I wouldn't want to be blamed for keeping it from them.

"Why would they pretend to be the same batch as us? That's freaky." Stace gasps.

"Because they were upto bullying us, I guess." That's all that I could say.

"So why did he have to bring it up today and tell it all?"

She won't just let this go now, will she? I quickly think of a reason.

"Well…Nick had realised that the drama at the stud squad went beyond limits and they had to call this game off. He apologized for all of it apparently."

"Isn't it odd that he attacked you out of all the new girls?" I see that teasing undertone in her inquisition.

"I know what you are trying to do, Stace." I tilt my head to glance at her.

"Now seriously, I am trying to make sure you are not falling prey to anymore troubles from that guy. We need to discuss and decode everything to get the bottom of this matter."

"You mean decode if he has any feelings for her?" Ryan points out.

I go red in the cheeks. I am sure they'd pass out if they know what he feels but I can't tell them just yet. First I need to figure this whole thing out by myself.

"Are you serious? Do you hear your self speak? Did you guys drink too much tonight?"

"Nah, just a couple of shots." He informs.

"Hey, I am not drunk." Stace speaks.

"Look all I am saying is that let's put this to rest. He did what he had to and he has confessed..I mean admitted it all. So why not just get on with more important things."

"The bad boy's turning good for our Cinderella." Ryan jokes.

"Can't agree more." Stace nudges him.

"Stop embarrassing me, guys."

"Fine, fine. World peace." She weirdly draws the sign but cracks up.

"Yeah, better."

We get quite for a while.

I am thinking about what I did today and giggle mentally. I can't believe I went that far today.

"Did you enjoy tonight at all?" She is kind of upset.

"I have no complaints Stace. After you were gone, I kind of did party a little walking around and I met Samantha, Jacob and..Wendy." I try to be cheerful.

"And about seeing Cameron?"

I frown.

"Which reminds me - who got him here and why?"

She bites her lip.

"We had kind of, you know, decided to hook you up again."

"Did you also plan on having him take me home tonight?" I slit my eyes.

"Would you kill me if I said yes?"

"Why shouldn't I? How much do I even know that guy for heaven's sake?"

"Because you are my best friend and you like Cameron." She teases me.

"And he is not a bad guy." Ryan adds. I know, I know they are buddies. But I am mad at them.
