"No, no, no!"

"Please stop that, please."

Thick droplets of tears started to wet my cheeks.

  ------------------------

"Wake up, Andy!" stace  jerked me.

Stace voice finally began to sink in my ears as I started to regain my consciousness.

I slowly opened my eyes, adjusting to the bright daylight as the things across the room came into my view.

"Why am I here?" I asked confused.

Stace gave me a sympathetic look.

And then the events from before flashed back in my head. I rose to sit on my back on the bed. I had passed out in the cafeteria due to the trauma and now I am in the medical room.

"Wait!! That video. Everybody saw it! Oh God! my life is ruined and...my head hurts." I grabbed my forehead on the sides as my eyes became heavy again with the water forming up in the corners.

"Shh! Relax Andy. It's not your fault. You didn't do any wrong. We will have to find those real culprets who did this to you. It's them who deserve to be insulted!" she spoke angrily, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"How are you doing now, Ms. Stanford?" the nurse came in to check on my condition, from behind the green curtains.

"I think, I am better. Thanks!" I gently spoke, not bothering how teary-eyed I looked or how my voice sounded. It was drained of all the energy.

"Great! I am gonna let you rest a bit more until of course, you are ready to go. So, don't worry about anything, you are allowed to stay longer." she tried to console my broken state.

"No, I think, I am gonna get going. I will be heading home." I spoke dejected.

My body seemed unmovable but I had to be out of here. Away from the disgusted glances, cheap stares or remarks.  Even though I had three more classes lined up but I couldn't care any less.

"You sure?" stace frowned but as she looked at me again, her face exhibited an understanding expression.

"Yeah! you think you could give me a ride back home?" I nodded and requested her.

"Of course!" she replied instantly. I was lucky to have her with me.

"Okay then. You two can go! But Ms. Stanford, I would suggest you let this pass by. The people who did this aren't that easy to catch a hold on but I only hope you stay strong and make through it." she consoled me as I got up to leave.

I plainly nodded as I didn't know what to say. My mind wasn't able to process anything.

It wasn't a common sight to see somebody's dignity being taken away as it happened to me today. So now, whenever I am here, I have to deal with the embarrassmebnt that comes free with my presence. This isn't going to be easy and I still can't think of anything to do about it.

"Take care! And remember to drink lots of water, okay?" the nurse instructed as we made our way to the exit doors.

I nodded and left.

  ---------------

Relief washed over me as we moved through the empty hallways. Both of us stayed quiet while Stace tried to scan the things around to make sure I wasn't troubled anymore.
