Andy's pov.
Minutes passed like hours as I glued my stares at the walls in my room, nervous and anticipating the worst.
If what he said about coming was even one percent true, then I don't know how will it all go and how would I be able to react to it. There wasn't a point doubting his actions, because over our past encounters and unpleasant meetings, I have come to realise at least this much that he is stubborn like hell, and he doesn't let go of things easily.
What could he possibly want from me now? I bet he will be more than satisfied after embarrassing me in front of the entire cafeteria crowd. Hope he is over any resentments towards me now. I would be more than glad if this little game-war ends between us, which I didn't even start in the first place.
Moments of deep thinking and stress is exhausting my brain sooner than I thought. It is only getting harder to resist falling asleep.
"Oh come on! You can't sleep right now!" I slap my cheeks persistently, while growling at myself.
Out of all the all nighters, this is the toughest to pull off. I have a good practice of avoiding sleep for long hours whenever I study, but right now, the situation isn't helping at all.
*Beeeeeep* *beeeeep* *beeeeeep*...
My phone goes off again. I am startled to the core. Meanwhile, I also hear a peculiar sound outside my street lane. Like some car pulling in, maybe. Oh God, is he here?
This night certainly tops the list of 'My most thrilling nights', not that I am enjoying it. I hurriedly pick up my phone from the bed and see that unknown number flash again. Shaking in my hands, I pick it up.
I manage to utter a soft - "Hello?" I know it is him.
"I am here." He speaks softly.
My eyes are wide open.
"Please leave, Nick. This is not the best idea." I try to be reasonable with him.
"Look, I am not gonna go back without seeing you once. So how do want to do this is your choice.'
My blood boils. "You may go to hell!"
I hang up angrily.
I bet he just sweared.
He calls up again.
After good 5 rings I pick up.
"Who the hell do you think you are?" I bark straight into the phone.
I hear him take in a deep breath.
"Look Andria, I'll make it simple for you. I am not going to harm you. Okay? I Do. Not. intend to hurt you or create a chaos while this whole damn world is asleep. All I want is for you to just listen to me once. So JUST PlEASE open up your balcony door. Your front gate isn't the best idea to get through in right now because I know you have a family too!" he sounds desperate yet pleading.
Oh my God. I was right. He aims to get in through the balcony.
There's a ladder in the lawn and it is not very hard for anyone to come up here. It is just a few feet above the ground. That is why I have to keep the door closed all the time.
