chapter 2

Reyna

As Reyna walked in her first period, math she asked the teacher to not pay attention to her and to just include her in only projects for today. The teacher understood and put her in the back of the class. Reyna was very great full for the seating arrangement so far. Reyna really didn't want to be seen and the teacher must have been in her place before. All the rest of her teachers did the same manner, they included her but she was usually with herself and stayed silent. The teacher was quite nice and taught all the students in a very cheerful manner. The teacher, Mrs. Wilkins was either having a good day or she was always this happy and perky.

Second period came faster than Reyna expected. The teacher this time was quite rude and strict. Mr. Gallup was very entertained at the fact to give the students so much homework. Mr. Gallup taught History and mostly you could only hear snoring of all the kids around you. Mr. Gallup or like everybody in the whole school called him Mr. G, really could only hear himself talking. He would never turn around and face the class. Reyna saw her opportunity and pulled out her math homework.

"Young lady, what do you think you are doing?" Mr. G snapped at Reyna.

"I- ah, was doing math." Reyna said quietly

"Ah, Math, I signed up to teach math and oh there is even a good story about my past involved." Mr. G said too happily

The whole class groaned and shouted no.

"Fine I won't tell. Ms. Reyna please, this is History not math. Put the book away." MR. G said.

"Yes, Mr. G." Reyna said quietly.

She put her math book away and stared blankly at the board.

The bell rang and Reyna was one of the first out of the class. As she walked down the hall looking down at her schedule sheet, it looked different from the ones that she had used back in California, these sheets were colorful. Reyna looked up looking for the class number 135, Reyna walked around the entire school around once but she still couldn't find the classroom. Reyna began to get frustrated as she walked she saw Jack in front of her talking to a group of boys. Reyna ran up to jack and stood behind him careful not to interrupt in the boys' conversation about sneakers. Reyna got bored and coughed; the boys shut up and looked at her. Jack turned to see Reyna and a smile spread across his face.

"Ah, well if it isn't Ms. Hollywood, how can I help you? Oh guys this is Ms. Hollywood she's new, be nice to her." Jack said turning to his friends

Reyna smiled and nodded at them, they waved and walked away when they heard a girl scream Henry!

"Talk to ya later jack." One of the boys said, high fiving jack as he left.

"So what is it?" Jack said still smiling.

"Where is the English class?" Reyna asked

"Let me see your schedule." Jack said as he slipped the paper out of Reyna's hands.

Reyna looked around at the other kids walking around them, many of the popular kids greeted jack. Jack must have been very popular because he sure got the attention. Jack waved at a girl who walked by.

"Cool looks like we have lunch together!" Jack said

"Hey I didn't give you my schedule for you to snoop about all my classes; I just need to know where the English class is." Reyna said

"Okay, Okay, down the hall in to the science classroom 134. Go to the back of the class and there will be a classroom, 135." Jack said with a smile as he handed Reyna back her paper.
