chapter 4

Reyna

The nest day Reyna got up, she groggily got up not wanting to go to school though she hurried and got ready early. She put on a new pair of jeans, a plain hot pink shirt and new All Star Sneakers that her mother gave her. Reyna went to school and surprised manly Coralyn, Jordan, jack , Henry, Lewis and more by opening things and stuff that had been locked up. Mostly kids were trying to prove to their friends that Reyna could open locked stuff. This was the routine for three days, the routine ended on a Friday the same Friday.

Reyna woke and got ready quickly. Reyna did a quick breakfast and before she knew it she was out the door. As she walked in the distance she saw kids from her school running around, and screaming. Reyna who was very curious ran over to the crowd. Reyna pushed the screaming kids out of her way and as soon as Reyna saw Jack walk by she started yelling his name.

"Jack! Jack!"

Jack didn't turn probably because he didn't hear her scream his name. again she pushed kids and finally when she reached jack she was happy to find that Lewis and Henry were with him starring at the floor.

"Hey, what's going on?" Reyna said.

She looked to jack then to Lewis who wore a very grim expression( which was not normal for him). Reyna waited for an answer until Henry spoke his voice deadly calm.

"look up. On the roof."

As Reyna looked she saw Bianca in tears staring at the ground. Finally when Reyna's eyes met the top of the roof she gasped. Hanging on the roof with her hands was a girl. The girl screamed and kicked but it did no good. Reyna couldn't tell who the girl was and dreaded the answer to her question. Reyna looked to the floor and saw a boy that was dead lying there on the floor in front of her. Reyna could tell the boy was dead. The boy Tristan, who ran into her in the antique shop was lying there. Blood surrounded his head. His body lay in a twisted position. His right arm was half ripped off and twisted in the opposite direction. His leg was also cut, but instead of having his leg half off he had a giant would that was also gushing blood. The once blonde hair was tainted in his own blood. No one would ever get the real answer of what had happened to him the simple truth was that the boy was dead and lifeless. Different students were yelling about what happened. Each of the stories were different and Reyna couldn't explain why they were all different. Reyna who knew this boy liked back up to see the poor girl still yelling for someone to help her. Reyna couldn't stand it. She turned and started to jog. Her intention was to get out of the crowd then run to save the girl, but she was stopped by someone holding her back. Reyna turned to see that her stopper was jack holding her wrist.

"Reyna don't go in there." Jack said

" Why." Reyna said not really asking a question

"because, someone who is probably a serial killer is in there right now and she wont be the only one dying." Jack said, his voice was a plea

" Well, I'm not going to let an idiot who likes to kill innocent young people get away with another death! Plus Tristan is already dead, if I can get in there and help her then get out. That would be two lives sparred. Now let me go" Reyna said she pulled her wrist from jack's hand.

Her wrist slipped out from his hand easily and before jack could argue with her she started off pushing kids until she heard Lewis's voice behind her.

"Reyna! Wait for me!"

Reyna turned to not only see Lewis but jack and Henry fallowing him. Reyna waited until they were next to her and started off dodging panicked kids. Somewhere in between of getting in the school and the crowd of kids the boys got separated from Reyna. Reyna who hadn't noticed this ran as fast as she could. She got in to the school and started up the many, many stairs. The old school looked like one of those vampire villas with dark scary stones and many dark rooms. As Reyna ran she was compelled to say "Apertis." Reyna couldn't think, as she ran she looked back to finally notice that she had lost her friends and was probably now alone. Reyna knew she couldn't go back to find them A girl was about to die, there was a serial killer or worse in the school and she was running out of breath. Reyna summoned all the air she could an d yelled at the top of her lungs: "APERTIS!"
