chapter 22

Jack

The next day jack and Henry were the first up. They both got up and left the room. Henry looked horrible, almost as bad as when he didn't study a test and tried to study all night long. Henry had bags under his eyes and his normally neat messy brown hair would have been a perfect nest for a bird. Jack couldn't help feel bad about telling them about the spirit chat. Jack knew he should have saved it until they were all awake, but through jack's excitement and worriment he couldn't hide it.

Jack looked down the long dusty hall to see Reyna walk past them. Jack looked to henry who had straightened himself up and smiled. Reyna must have not seen him because she walked past and didn't even look at them.

Henry slumped back down and leaned against the wall. Jack had kept walking but stopped when he noticed his friend stopping. Jack walked back to Henry and stared at him.

"What is it?" Jack said

"Me." Henry mumbled

"What?" jack said

"It's all my fault. If I hadn't questioned her maybe then she would still talk to me." Henry said

"Dude, it is not your fault. Come on lets fallow her, she couldn't have gotten far. I know more or else which way she went walking." Jack said.

Henry nodded and looked up from the floor. Jack smiled at his friend and instead of heading to the dining hall they went and fallowed after Reyna.

Jack and henry ran down the hall jack had seen Reyna walk through. They stopped when they saw a fork in the road.

"Which way?" Henry asked

"I said I more or else knew where she went, not exact place." Jack said

Henry sighed took a sharp but deep sigh. Then took off running down the middle corridor. Jack ran after him and soon they were side by side. Henry turned a sharp corner and jack would have kept running forward if it wasn't to Henry calling his name and Reyna's. jack found the corridor and took off after henry.

Jack looked up a head and saw Reyna walking, she didn't look like herself. Jack and Henry called her name, but she didn't turn around. They finally caught up the Reyna and knew why she wasn't answering, it wasn't Reyna only a girl who looked like her.

"Sorry, I miss took you as my friend." Henry said

The girl shrugged and finished walking down the hall. Jack and henry stood in the now empty corridor.

"Now what?" Henry said

Jack shrugged and walked over to the wall. He looked at it more deeply and saw very small figures running. He watched as a whole file of them went running and turned the corner. Jack fallowed them and saw that Reyna was walking down the corridor.

"Reyna!" Jack yelled

Reyna turned and looked at him, but she didn't stop walking. She looked worse than Henry. Her usual neat hair was in tangles, she had deeper bags in her eyes and she looked as if she was getting tortured and was about to die.

Henry came running and past, jack and ran after Reyna. Reyna's eyes widened and took off. Jack ran after both of them. Reyna ran into the dining hall and disappeared.

Jack searched everywhere and spotted Elizabeth looking very worried. Jordan and Tony were talking and Jack could have guessed that they were telling the girls about the spirit. Henry walked over to them and fell into the seat by Elizabeth. Jack ran over and sat directly in front of Elizabeth. She looked at henry then at Jack.
