chapter 12

Jack

Jack could only hear the terrified whispers of the kids around him. Jack noticed that his sword was out and quickly found the button on the hilt of the blade. The once silver sword turned back to a grey pocket knife. As fast as It had popped out it vanished. Jack tucked it away into his pocket. Soon another bell chimed and all the kids relaxed and left as if nothing had happened. Jack still stood there. Elizabeth appeared and walked over to him.

"come on we've gotta look around that area." Jack said.

Elizabeth nodded "tonight okay." she said

"tonight." Jack said.

That was word, jack and Elizabeth ran to the mall and bought lots of stuff. They hid the flash lights right by the entrance on the other side of the hole. Jack bought a bunch of snacks which he packed up and put in his back pack. Elizabeth got all the sensible stuff packed in her back pack.

That night, jack and Elizabeth changed once again in to black. Jack put the cape that Pachacute gave him. Elizabeth put on a cape that looked similar but had a cool hood. Jack and Elizabeth glided out of the tower. Once out they fast walked to the court. Jack almost started running but Elizabeth held out her arm and made jack hide. Jack saw in the distance 5 hooded people running across the field. Elizabeth motioned for Jack to fallow. As they crept jack lost sight of the people. Elizabeth crawled on all fours like a wolf prowling for it's prey. Elizabeth looked to jack and waited form him to catch up.

"fallow my lead." She whispered. Soon Elizabeth stopped where a big gap between bush to bush lay. She did a quick lean summersault over and watched jack do a horrible one. Once jack got on the other side were Elizabeth was she whispered to him.

"What was that?" she whispered

"That doesn't matter right now, what does matter is that we have to fallow them." Jack whispered back

"What! Are you crazy for all we know they could be after us!" Elizabeth whispered harshly back

"Exactly the more reason to fallow them. Plus wouldn't you want to see that tree again?" jack whispered back

"yes but-" Elizabeth starter

"then come on." Whispered.

Jack started off crawling, he didn't wait for an answer. Jack heard something behind him and turned to see Elizabeth somersaulting to the other side of the field. Jack saw her get off the ground and start running. She put on her hood that had fallen off and ran. Jack fallowed her movements and ran. They ran on parallel sides yes but jack felt as if she was right next to him. Jack looked more closely ahead and saw a large piles of leaves infront of him. He jumped them the try to make as less noise possible. Jack now realized why Elizabeth had crossed the lawn, because the hole was now on her side which made it easier to get through.

"stupid me." Jack thought to himself in his head he could see himself slapping his own face, he brushed that funny thought aside. Jack looked towards the hole and saw the 5 hooded people crawl through and disappear. Jack and Elizabeth met up.

"do you think they made it to the forest?" Elizabeth asked

"one way to find out." Jack replied.

Jack set himself on the ground and wriggled through. Once on the other side of the wall jack grabbed the flash light's bag. Elizabeth soon joined him and picked out a good flash light. Jack watched as the pulled up the pant leg to her knee. Strapped to her shin was dagger, one side was silver the other bronze.
