With his little fingers wrapped around mine, I led him down the stores while he anxiously searched for his favorite toy store.
Since he was the only kin I had, I have the tendency to give him what he wanted as long as he behaved well.
"Mama." He grinned widely as he pointed at the store in front of us.
I smiled while he broke away from me and hurriedly rushed to the store, only to collide into someone.
She looked oddly familiar.
Shit, Bella Flitchers was one of the hosts who hosted a party during the weekends.
She must have recognized me as Gigi since I looked the same, except that I had grown more matured.
"Gigi?" She asked, looking at me with a wide smile. I gulped, forcing a sweet smile as I nodded.
"Fancy bumping into you here after so many years, Gigi." I chuckled, nodding as my eyes wandered to the store where my son was gushing over the latest toy cars on the shelves.
"I'm having a party this weekend, are you interested?" She asked with her eyes glinting in excitement.
"I-I..." I swallowed nervously, wanting to reject her invitation, but felt compelled to do so.
I actually wanted a drink or two in the party after my 'fateful' encounter with him. I was totally not expecting him to turn into a monster after five years.
"Many of them have been asking me why you haven't been attending my parties. They want to see you again, Gigi." She urged, trying her hardest to convince me while I sighed and nodded.
Taking out her phone, she handed me hers while I keyed in my number. After settling down in Italy, I have changed a new phone number in case anyone from my past contacted me or tracked me down.
But I was still surprised that Bella have moved here to Italy. Does this means that others may be living here as well?
God damn it, what a small world.
"Well, I have to go now. Hope to see you at the party, Gigi." She smiled before leaving while I released a breath I haven't realised that I have been holding.
I looked towards Leo who was approaching me with a shopping bag in his hands.
My eyes widened incredibly. "Did you steal it, Leo?" I asked, anger and confusion written all over my face.
"No, mama. A man buy it for me and I give him my hair." He simply replied with a wide smile as he hugged the toy close to him.
God damn it, it must be Chase. If he gets the DNA of his son, he will be able to discover the truth.
Not only do I have to face the confrontation, but also the risk of my restaurant being burned down.
And maybe even worse, the custody of my son. I will never give him my son nor will I allow him to brainwash Leo.
Flustering in panic, I picked him up and decided to drive us home.
As for Chase, I will deal with him later.

It has been a long, tiring week and it was finally the weekends.
I have agreed Bella that I was going to attend her party and it just so happened that Leo was having a sleepover with his friend.
I was great friends with the mother, so I could let him stay there for a night without having to worry.
After sending him to his destination, I drove back home to take a quick bath.
I let my hair flow in curls and matched my makeup with a natural look. I paired the look with a matching outfit which was an off-shoulder grey dress which hugged my curves.
Looking myself in the mirror, I remembered of the first time I had actually dressed up for a party just to relieve the stress of Chase's constant bullying.
Turns out, five years later, I was going to a party because of Chase again.
Seems like I couldn't put down the past, could I? Otherwise, I wouldn't have bothered myself with his threats.
I could have called the cops, instead of becoming weak in front of him.
But I can't find the will in me to stand up against him. Maybe, I was still the Gemini I will always be.
Weak and pathetic.
