I followed after my staff hurriedly, clenching my fists this whole time. This was so frustrating, he just had to make a scene at the restaurant.
He was going to be the owner of this land for god's sake.
Customers were nowhere to be seen in the restaurant while my staffs were hiding behind the counters.
This whole place had turned into a wrecked place with broken furniture and shattered ceramic pieces.
Even the manager's once treasured vase was almost on the verge of being destroyed as he held it in his hand.
Chase was practically destroying everything in his way just to let out his anger.
But, I won't let him have his way.
"Chase, stop." I hollered from afar, still staring at him as my palms sweated from clenching for too long.
He stopped momentarily, his veins protruding out in anger as his breathing hastened.
I walked towards him as he still had his back facing me. "Look who decided to show up." He stated, sarcasm dripping in his words.
"What do you want?" I demanded impatiently, hating the fact that I was talking to the man who almost destroyed the whole restaurant.
He put down the vase and folded his arms. "It's very simple." He stated with no emotions at all.
He turned around and pulled me into his arms while I struggled against him in response. "Let me go." I said through gritted teeth.
His lips made contact with my skin as I could feel a smile playing on his lips. "Let you go? Never."
I tensed at his words as his grip on my waist loosened slightly. "If you think I am going to let you go like that, you have made a huge mistake."
As he said this, he kissed his way down my neck as my eyes widened incredibly.
"You are mine, Gemini. Never leave me again like that, otherwise I will make you regret this."
I shuddered involuntarily at the monster in front of me as I stared into his icy cold orbs.
This was a different and intimidating version of him and I hated it when he does this.
"No." I shakily replied, bringing up my hands as I held onto his face. "I don't belong to a monster like you, I never will."
His eyes softened like how they used to as he stared at me, blinking furiously.
This time, it then struck me. I couldn't live without him, so did he.
I have made a huge mistake when I made up my mind to leave him just like five years ago. In the end, we would still end up in square one like how he knew about Leo's presence.
This time, I am not going to run away from the problems anymore.
I shut my eyes briefly, leaning into his warm touch. "I am sorry, it's all my fault. I have made a mistake just like how I did five years ago."
"What do you mean? Are you doing this because of him again?" He demanded, his eyes burning holes through my skull.
"I just want to protect Leo. He is my only son." I said through muffled tears as I held onto him for my dear life.
Clenching onto his shirt, I looked up to face him as tears blurred my vision. "I thought I have made a right choice this time by leaving you. But I realised I was wrong."
"Even if you try to leave me, I will never let you go again."
I shook my head at his words. "It's impossible, I can't stay with you."
"Why not?" He growled in frustration as I heaved a huge sigh.
My fingers rummaged through my pockets as I took out a letter. Peeling it open, I handed it to him.
It was just once sentence but there was so much meaning in it.
He crushed it and threw it onto the floor after reading it. "I won't let him have what he wants."
"What do you mean?" I asked, raising a brow questioningly.
"We will talk about this in your office." He stated, conjoining his fingers with mine as he dragged me along with him roughly.
Can't he be a little more gentle with me?
