I washed my face with the cold water, soothing my burnt face. Though the cold sensation did only a little to cool me down but, nevertheless!

Waiting there for quite a while I decided going out with the stains on when I heard a knock on the door. I sighed in relief and making attempts not to see that creepy face I held out my hand outside, demanding the spare.

Having sensed a weight I pulled back my hand in and what I saw gave me nothing but shivers down my spine.

I held the dress infront of the mirror and I knew I would be in trouble if I wore it. Not that I wouldn't have been comfortable but that everyone would get to know about those marks on my hands.

Something's were better kept hidden.

I stood there numb for quite sometime before I changed my clothes. I probably couldn't keep wearing a coffee stained cloth the whole day right?!

"The heck !" I cursed viewing myself in the mirror.

"Why Aiyeappa why! " I cursed again.

I hid those scars simultaneously with my long tresss but just when I would move they'd expose my bare arms.

I took in a deep breath having realised I was a bit too long inside the washroom and finally stepped out as carefully as possible.

Trouble?! I was caught up too deep now.

Stepping out the first thing my conscious self did was to find him-Manik, and it soon accomplished the task on hearing a cough that came from the side of the couch.

His creepy face kept gwaking in my direction making me feel all the more uncomfortable to stand in.

He stood up next and lazily walked in my direction.

"Are you comfortable!?" he asked standing right in front of me.

"Ya--" I replied meekly unable to meet his gaze.

"It's okay.....you are not used to wearing these....we all know that!" he continued.

" I'm fine " I replied as quickly as possible. I needed to get the hell out of this room.

"Sure?!" he asked assuring one last time.

I nodded and went on to go out of the space when I was pulled back to the last position where I stood, facing him, again!

"Just a second!" he said holding my hand.

I looked at the grip and then at him.

"These marks?!" he asked removing my hairs from over my shoulder.

My eyes buldged out with his question. I was clueless about the answer. Too many thoughts flew through my head. It literally felt as if there was no ground below me. Just that one question which I tried to avoid as closely as possible and here I was now!

"Nandini?!" he asked bringing me back to reality.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She looked at her marks and then blankly at my face. Her face had turned white and I realised something was majorly wrong.
I took a step closer in her direction and my hand that held her's felt it turning ice cold.
"Were you--" but she cut me in the middle.
"Sir I guess I should get working now..." she replied looking all around the office.
"Nandini..don't you try and change the topic...."
