16~ The Closure

"Alya" I whispered as I sat next to her on the bark of a huge tree trunk.

She looked in my direction and wiped her tears.

"Alya are you okay...." I asked keeping my hand on her shoulders.

"Yes...yes I'm fine..." she replied.

"You can tell me if you want! " I assured her.

"Ya I'm fine...too much work in here...that's why I'm a bit tensed..." she said looking away.

"I saw you running in here , wiping you tears...I don't mean to intrude into anything personal...but you could trust me on matters....I could help maybe....." but she cut me off in the middle.

"No one can Nandini...no one can...." she whispered and broke down the next moment.

I went on my knees infront of her and kept my hands on her knees while I spoke,

"Alya I'm here for you" I whispered when I sensed drops of tear on my hands.

" I am in a complete mess Nandini....Manik...Manik and I broke up because of me! Or alteast he thinks so...I have lied but that was to save
....nevermind...Mukti is sad cause Abhimanyu brought all their memories and she brought up the topic about me and Manik...Nandini I swear I hadn't done anything wrong...but he didn't trust me...he just believed what was told...and now the same thing is going to happen with this new album contract at hand...." she said with heavy breaths and with more tears escaping her eyes.

"I...I don't understand...what did you exactly do..." I asked.

"I ....I had out the lyrics to the rivals!" she let it out.

"Alya...I.....You..I mean...why would you!" I asked clueless.

"That's what Manik thinks!" she said sobbing harder.

"Okay wait....if you didn't who did!" I replied after thinking about it for a moment.

"Doesn't matter...but I never knew Manik would not trust me! He thinks I did it...well and fine then...i have lived with that for months now!....and.."

"And now he thinks maybe this time too you'll do something like that...." I completed for her.

"That's why he was so harsh on the that day at the office!" I asked.

She nodded.

"Nandini trust me I didn't do it!" she pleaded.

"Do the rest of the fab five know? "

"No....Manik didn't tell anyone except Cabir...so he's cold on me as well!" she said letting out a sigh.

"Alya maybe we could figure it out...I could help you...but only if you tell me who did that...!" I said wiping her tears.

She looked down at my face,

"Why?"

"Because I know what it feels to be misunderstood...." I said looking away as my mind started to fill with flashbacks.

"Nandini..."

"You can trust me!" I repeated and I noticed she took in a deep breath.

"It was...." she stopped a looked around.

I walked back to my room with hundereds of thoughts going about inside my head.

If what Alya told me was true then Manik needed to know it for sure. Why wouldn't she to bear with all this. What was her fault even?! Saving a relationship.
