13~ Strangers

The lift doors opened and a third entered.

I stopped midway to snap at Nandini.

She was already looking at the one who had entered and I knew she was out of clue about his existence.

"Abhimanyu!" I exclaimed.

"Ahhh Manik!" he replied back with a bright smile on his face.

"And you must be....umm....Nandini?!" he asked eyeing the girl next.

"Yes!" she let it out, almost in a whisper.

"Tu yehan?!" I asked looking at the bags in his hands and precisely cutting short the introductory session.

"Arrey....I had to ask you to make some changes in the plan!" he said holding the bag in my direction.

"Changes?!....hum aaj nikal rahe hai...malum hai na?!" I reminded him.

"Haan but it's important....." he pleaded as the doors shut behind him.

The lift regained its motion.

"Let it out first...." I demanded.

"Like here?!" he asked eyeing Nandini.

She looked away with his gesture pretending not to look or hear anything that was said or shown.

"Go ahead ....she's either ways coming!" I said rolling my eyes.

"Oh is she!...okay so! ...." he continued.

"So?!"

And before he could speak the lift reached the floor.

"Abhi....you know what.....youwerw right...let's talk in my cabin! Okay?!" I said as the doors opened again.

"Ya cool!" he replied optionless.

"And you......"I said next, turning to Nandini.

She looked in my direction.

"Get me a coffee...asap! "

She shot me a death glare.

I dismissed it like usual.

"I will " she finally said.

Me and abhimanyu got down the lift and the doors shut again, taking her down to fetch me the aforesaid.

"Haan so I was saying that...." he continued as we started walking down towards my space.

I went down to the ground floor and made my way towards the canteen.

"I can't believe he's making me do all this!" I cursed to myself.

In another ten minutes or so I was done taking his coffee and was on my way back to serve him. Though the inner part of me wished to splash this hot beverage in my hands right on his face but I had to be in control. I knew there were steinga attached to actions done. He was my " boss " after all.

I pushed the door open only to find him sitting there. Abhimanyu had left already?!

"There!" I said placing the coffee on his table.

He waited for a while. Maybe for me to leave when,

"Ummmn Nandini....we are leaving today evening around six....I hope you have your things packed!" he asked.

"I'm not sure if I'd be going!" I said making a move to leave when he made his comeback,
