Chapter 20: Give Up

Meredith's POV:

*1 week Later*

I wake up early and go to my bathroom and take a shower.

Emily and I are going to go the mall since I haven't seen her.

I get my high waisted shorts, my Moon Phase muscle tank, and my black combat boots.

I put my hair into a messy side fishtail braid and head out the door.

"Mere!" Emily says as I get in the car.

"Eminem!"

When we were younger we would always call each other funny names and Eminem was one of them.

"I've missed you!"

"So did I !" I say.

We drive to the mall and on the way there I tell her everything except I don't cry this time like I always do.

"California sucked then. Right?" She asks.

"It didn't actually. I loved it."

"Are you giving up in your dreams of being an actress?"

"Of course not! I'm gonna go to New York next!" I laugh.

She looks at me for a couple of seconds seriously.

"New York? C'mon Meredith."

"What?"

"Just think of another career or something." She says.

"If you are not gonna support me with my dreams then what am I doing here?"

She stops the car and looks at me.

"You're here because you're my best friend."

"I thought best friends were supposed to help each other." I step out of the car angry and begin to walk home.

I look back but Emily is already driving off.

When I get home I grab my laptop and sit on the couch to watch some videos.

"Meredith why are you home already?" My mom asks coming out of the kitchen.

"I wasn't in the mood for going anymore so I told Emily to just drop me off." I lie.

"Oh okay."

She walks back in the kitchen.

I watch Bethany Mota's (Macbarbie07) videos.

"She's so funny." I say to myself laughing.

I look at the "create account" button and click on it.

I really want to be an actress and Kian said Youtube would be a good start.

"What should my username be?" I ask myself.

I think about for a while and get a good name.

I enter "MereMere".

It says "available" and "welcome" .

I get excited and pick a picture.

There's a picture on my computer of a selfie of me I took at California on the beach.

It was good for now.

"What you doing?" My mom asks sitting next to me.

"Nothing.."

I shut my laptop so my mom can't see.

"I already saw. You're making a Youtube account aren't you?" She asks.

I laugh a little.

"Okay fine I did."

"Can I see?"

I show her my username.

"That's a cute name." She says smiling at me.
