Little Mix ~ Weird People
"Heeeeelloooo Haaaaaawaiiiii." I yell as soon as we make it out of the plane. The air feels slightly humid, but cool. The skies are a pale blue with drifting fluffy clouds. I breathe in the refreshing oxygen. I pull out my phone and snap a quick picture of the sky. Yes. This is it.
"Haaaaawaii." Harry dances like one of those hoola girls making me laugh. He sways his hips and waves his hands.
"Work it, boy." I laugh and Harry smiles wide.
We anxiously run to the section to pick up our luggage and impatiently wait for it to arrive. As soon as I see my suitcase I dive in to get it. I almost trip and fall but Harry caught my arm and saved my life.
"Harry, hurry up. Where is your bag?" I urge. I feel those tingles in my stomach like small fireworks that rush down to my feet and make it impossible to sit still.
"Oh, there. There it is." He says pointing to a dark brown suitcase. He stretches out effortlessly and grabs the bag with one hand. "Okay, let's go."
We make our way out of the airport. There are two Hawaiian men with kaki colored shorts and flowered shirts waiting at the exit.
"Welcome to Hawaii." They say with wide smiles and crinkled eyes.
"Thank you!" I beam and lean down to let them place the necklace through my head.
"Thank you." Harry says as well and kneels a bit cause he's so tall and these adorable Hawaiian men aren't gifted in height.
We thank them again and make our way out of the airport. Harry hauls a taxi and like the gentleman he is, helps the old man place our luggage in the trunk. He gives him directions and hops in the backseat with me.
"Look how cool these are." Harry says in admiration of his beige beaded necklace. Mine is a beautiful mint color. My favorite color actually.
"I know. I've always wanted one of these." I smile.
"Oh my gosh! Is that a volcano?" I scream and scoot closer to the window. The giant mountain stands firm and powerful in the middle of a green and brown jungle. It's so pretty.
"Whoa." I hear Harry's voice say in my ear.
"It's so beautiful." I stare in awe. I don't hesitate a moment before I take out my phone and snap a picture. I've never seen anything more majestic.
"Oh, oh. Sky, wanna hear a joke?" Harry says.
"Sure."
"Knock, knock."
"Who's there?"
"Lava."
"Lava who?"
"I lava you." He beams.
"Oh my gosh, Harry." I shake my head but smile anyway.
We remain silent the rest of the trip to the hotel. We simply sit in awe of the paradise we landed in. When we arrive to our destination, I flash out of the car immediately. I can literally not stop gawking. It's so beautiful. There are colorful flowers everywhere. Clean cut green grass that literally looks like it shines in the light of the sun.
"Harry! Harry! Look! It's a palm tree! A real life palm tree!" I gush and run over to the beautiful tree standing slightly inclined to the left. "I've never seen one before."
"It's pretty, huh?"
"I love it. Oh my gosh. Here." I hand him my phone. "Take a picture of me."
