I park my car before grabbing my purse and the plastic Tupperware in the passenger seat. I stopped by my grandma's after work, my dad's mom, and she made donuts and cookies just for me. I was surprised and relieved to know she wasn't mad at me or anything. On the contrary, she told me to follow my dreams and do want I wanted to do with my life. I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.I step out the car and lock the door before heading towards the apartment. I am so grateful it's Thursday and I don't have work until Tuesday. I mean, its practically the weekend. Heeeeeello friday.
On my way, I see Mrs. Parker, the old lady with hair as white as snow that lives on the first story. She's sitting down in a comfy backyard type chair and Harry's next to her in another one.
Harry's eyes crinkle at his sides as he laughs with the cute old lady. They look so adorable and my heart swells up. Harry has so much love for everyone. Even the old lady from downstairs.
"Hey, Harry. Hello, Mrs. Parker." I greet them with a smile.
"Hello, Sky. Mrs. Parker, this is Skylynn." He introduces me.
"Oh, hello, sweetie. You are so beautiful."
I grin shyly and scoot closer to give her a small polite hug.
"How was work?" Harry asks.
"Good. Last day of the week, finally." I pretend to wipe sweat off my forehead. "How was it at the airport?"
"Great. Selena gave me the rest of the day." He answers.
"Awesome." I give him a small grin. I have yet to meet Selena.
"Well, Mrs. Parker, I think I'll accompany Skylynn to the apartment. I had a lovely time. Thank you for the coffee." He gets up from the chair and wraps his long arms around Mrs. Parker's small frame.
We say our goodbyes, then me and Harry head upstairs. My insides churn as Harry takes my purse from my hand carries it upstairs. My heart flutters when he lets me in before him. I don't know, it's little things like that, that make me melt.
Niall is sitting on the couch with a bag of chips watching golf. Niall has a weird obsession with golf. He loves it. I hate it. He's tried to talk me into liking it, but golf just isn't my thing. What's the fun in watching a bunch of men pushing balls into a hole with a stick?
"Hello, Skylynn. Watcha got there?" His eyes don't leave the television screen as he stuffs three chips into his mouth. Niall eats all day. And by all day I mean all day.
I shake the Tupperware and show him through the transparent lid. "Cookies and donuts my grandma made. Want some?"
"Mhm." He munches. I chuckle and open the lid to let him grab some. "Fank you." He manages to say with his mouth stuffed.
I shake my head and plop down on the couch next to Niall, grabbing a cookie for myself. I throw my shoes off. Those things were killing my big foot feet.
"Skylynn, do you have any plans for the weekend?" Harry sits on the couch next to me and Niall.
"Whoa! Did you see that?!" Niall jumps up from the couch yelling at the T.V. I nearly peed myself. Niall is so spontaneous. "He was so fricking close." He munches on his cookie. I shake my head.
"No. Not really. Just, look for apartments. Organize some stuff. Chill." I respond.
"Do you like Mexican food?" He asks me with such a calm demeanor but I see the twinkle in his eyes and the smile at the corners of his lips.
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! Is he going to ask me out on a date? Why else would he ask me that? Oh my gosh, I'm going to have a heart attack. Someone call the paramedics. I have nothing to wear. Oh wait. Maybe he just wants to order Mexican take out. Or make Mexican food. But as friends. Oh my gosh, but what if it is a date? Omg, omg, omg. Someone halp.
