Don't Stop ~ 5sos
It's our first of four days that we're gonna stay in Mexico. Before doing anything else, we wanted to explore the land. So, we're at the plaza right now admiring all the beautiful Mexican art and crafts. I come from a beautiful country.
"Look at these cute little sandals." I show Harry the hand made huaraches that are tiny like for a baby. "I wish I was a baby to put these lil things on."
"Awe." Harry cooes. "Oh my gosh!" He gasps. "Look at these sombreros!"
Harry reaches up to grab a sombrero, the traditional ones. He looks like a child that just received a brand new toy. He carefully places it over his head, eyes adorably wide.
"Ay, ay, ay!" He cheers making me burst into laughter.
He pretends that his fingers are guns and starts making gunshot noises. He pokes my belly looking at me with furrowed brows and a big fat pout. Even the lady from the stand is laughing.
"Harry stop!" I laugh covering my hands with my mouth. He is the most adorable human being.
"I'm gonna buy this." He asks the lady how much it costs and hands her the money.
"Wait wait, I want a picture." I take out my phone and snap a picture. He looks so ridiculous cause he also bought a fake mustache. His pose trying to imitate a Mexican Indian is also ridiculous.
"I'm Pancho Villa." He says curling his mustache. He probably doesn't even know who Pancho Villa is. Dork.
We move on to the next stand which has a bunch of bracelets and jewelry. All of them handmade. So many colors, so many designs. I am so jealous of the talent.
"Harry, look at these!" I show him the dangling earrings made out of coffee beans. They are the coolest thing I've seen.
"Wow." He admires them and then smells them. Oh gosh, I hope one of those beans doesn't go up his nose or something. That would be hilarious, though.
We look around some more. Everything is so beautiful and creative. There is not a single thing I am not amazed with. But, then my eyes see the next stand packed with Mexican candy. That's it. That's where I belong.
I turn around to see Harry's buying something. I can't figure out what it is, though. I glance at the candy stand again, and...are those pipitorias? Giiiirl.
I approach the stand with Harry quick behind me.
"Harry do you know what these are?" I hold up a pipitoria and a pack of cacahuates engarapiñados.
"No." He stares at the packages.
"They are paradise. I haven't had any in years." I grab like ten packages and buy them. As soon as I bite into the pipitoria my mouth becomes a mix of heaven and sweet stuff.
"What are they, though?"
"It nuts and seeds compacted in caramel. Peanuts, walnuts, pecans, almonds. And its only the best thing ever." I hand Harry a piece. "And these red ones are just peanuts with sugar and whatever it is that makes them taste insanely good."
Harry cautiously takes a bite but his face quickly changes. "Where has this been my whole life?"
"Boy, you had no idea what you were missing out on." I snap with my fingers.
"How- how do you say delicious?" He asks me.
"Delicioso." I stretch out the word so he can pronounce it.
