You ever feel like punching someone in the face?
Yeah, well that's how I'm feeling now, because I can't figure out for the life of me why people actually listen to this idiot talk.
Sorry, let me start from the beginning.
After going back to the river to see Jasper had disappeared, we headed back to camp.
The sight of seeing Murphy at knife point immediately set me on edge, but seeing it was Wells holding him calmed me a little. Wells was not gonna hurt him. Wells was a lover, not a fighter.
"Wells, let him go!" Wells threw Murphy away, but immediately got back up and would have made it back to Wells had I not grabbed him.
"Chill out, John. Chill out" I whispered to him and he immediately relaxed.
"Thanks" he smiled at me.
"What happened out there?" Blake asked.
We were attacked" I say, speaking up and he looks towards me, eyes narrowed. I glare right back at him.
"Attacked by what?"
"Not what. Who" Finn says as he tiredly takes a seat on nearby log, "Turns out when the last man from the ground died on the ark, he wasn't the last grounder".
"It's true" Clarke continues," Everything we thought we knew about the ground was wrong" everything THEY thought, I knew. Of course I wasn't gonna tell them that. "The good news is we can survive. Radiation won't kill us". She says that like it's good news. If you're an optimist, then maybe it is.
"Yeah the bad news, the grounders will." Finn says.
"Where's the kid with the goggles" Bellamy asked.
"Jasper was hit. They took him." I say, looking down, my eyes glance at Murphy's wrist and I see he is missing his wristband. I take a glance around and see quite a few people missing their wristbands as well. "What the hell happened to your wristbands?"
Wells glares at Bellamy,"Ask him".
"How many Blake?" I seethe at him.
"Twenty four and counting" Murphy says with a smirk, making me glare at him, the smirk falling off his face instantly.
"You idiots!" Clarke yells out. "Life support on the Ark is failing. That's why they brought us down here. They need to know the Earth is survivable again, and we need their help against the grounders. If you take off your wristbands, your not just killing them. Your killing us."
Clearly Bellamy didn't agree with this because he stated his dumb ass argument. "We're stronger than you think. Don't listen to her. She's one of the privileged. If they come down, she'll have it good. How many of you can say the same?" He asks and no ones hands are raised at his question. "We can take care of ourselves. That wristband on your arm? It makes you a prisoner. We are not prisoners anymore! They say they'll forgive your crimes. I say your not criminals! You're fighters. Survivors! The grounders should be worried about us!"
And it incites so many cheers, I'm sure the damn grounders hear us right now. If anything, it was a great speech and a great idea. But it was extremely flawed and extremely stupid to think you can take on people who have lived here way longer than we have. He was literally running these kids to their death. And I was angry beyond measure at this guy.
"EVERYBODY SHUT THE HELL UP!" I yelled.
My voice made them stop shouting and stare at me wide-eyed. I walked up to Blake, staring him right in the eyes. It was times like this when I hated taking drastic measures, but it was necessary.
